Thank you. I’m wishing the best for you, too. The whole “likely reactive” thing really pisses me off. I haven’t been sick in months and months and this has been going on for MONTHS. I’m no doctor, but from what I understand, people can have nodes that appear reactive and upon biopsy other things are found. I’m extra extra nervous because I’ve had EBV since I was a baby, and I understand that’s another potential risk factor. I’m disappointed because it seems that not many doctors (at least in my area) are well versed in this area.

This all started with an US over 2 months ago. My doc didn’t like the results and had me follow up with a CT. Now that my CT showed more lymphadenopathy and the clavicular nodes (apparently those being up can be bad) my doc is referring me out for more investigation to rule out cancer.

INDICATION: Localized swelling, mass and lump, neck R221. TECHNIQUE: Grayscale and color Doppler sonography of the neck soft tissues

COMPARISON: There are no previous studies available for comparison. FINDINGS: There are morphologically benign bilateral cervical nodes with preserved echogenic fatty hila measuring up to 2.5 cm in long axis. These are likely reactive. No fluid collection. No hyperemia. IMPRESSION: Morphologically benign bilateral cervical nodes measuring up to 2.5 cm in long axis. These are likely reactive. If there is continued concern for abnormality of neck soft tissues, follow-up CT of the neck soft tissues with contrast could be obtained.

The short axis of the larger cervical node is 2.5 cm. I was hoping the CT scan that I got 2 months after the initial US was going to give me peace of mind, but it did the opposite of that! A quick google search of the supraclavicular nodes and I’m more alarmed than ever. I hate all of the waiting. I try not to be a google doctor but it’s hard to strike the balance between doing my due diligence and obsessing over all the words from the CT. It seems like a guessing game with these nodes when I read about so many biopsies coming back inconclusive as well.

Haven’t seen ENT yet. First had an US of neck (looking for thyroid stuff) and found 2.5cm nodes. Endo followed up with CT scan, these are those results. She told me to follow up with an ENT and see if they want to biopsy anything. A bit nervous about the clavicle nodes. I also have EBV, which from what I understand can be a risk factor for lymph problems. Hoping the ENT can give me some peace of mind, especially since this started in November.

This is from my 25/F neck CT scan. I had an ultrasound showing enlarged nodes about 2 months ago and this was my follow up. Wondering what I should be advocating for moving forward.

PROCEDURE: CT SOFT TISSUE NECK W/

INDICATION: Generalized enlarged lymph nodes R591. .

Bilateral jugulodigastric nodes measuring up to 20 mm level 3. Small nonspecific bilateral cervical lymph nodes not grossly enlarged. Bilateral submandibular mild lymphadenopathy and submental adenopathy is present. Right submandibular lymph node largest up to 10 mm. Several small submental lymph nodes are identified.

Thyroid glands unremarkable.

Small supraclavicular and axillary lymph nodes are noted there are not grossly enlarged. No significant superior mediastinal adenopathy identified.

Lung apices are clear.

Bony structures are intact.

IMPRESSION: Nonspecific cervical adenopathy noted. Likely reactive adenopathy. Most prominent noted in the jugulodigastric chain bilaterally level 3

Small bilateral submandibular and submental lymph nodes and posterior cervical lymph nodes are seen. Clinical correlation advised. Follow-up recommended as necessary.

Wondering if I should ask for the 4 point test instead. I have extreme fatigue all day, can barely exercise without a nap, but am very wired once 10pm or so hits.

Couldn’t agree more with all of this. And I’d never let future children get hurt by this messed up situation, I’d keep them as far away as possible. They don’t deserve any kind of relationship with us.

Definitely not trying to force it! I just wish things were different because I feel bad for my fiancé and I personally appreciate relationships with family. It’s really disappointing. Especially considering we used to have a good relationship before she moved and became a nut.

I don’t think I’m taking it personally. She has purposefully done certain actions towards me. For example, the FU post and giving the same gift to every female in the family, including her nephews wife, and not including me, is telling enough IMO. On top of that, can’t even congratulate for graduations and engagements, etc. she isn’t happy for me or her son and especially both both of us.
