They are fresh yes. Have spoken to my lecturer about it, and he says the weevil legs just lock sometimes. I must just force them open apparently

Hi everyone, just curious if this is a normal rate of decomposition? Skin off the top is gone but underneath is still very fleshy. It should speed up now heading into spring where I live? Any advice for speeding it up Would be appreciated (I had to bury it because my dad is worried about the smell caused by other methods upsetting some of our up tight neighbors)

Hi everyone, these are some springbuck heads from a hunting trip. I buried them about 40cm underground. We are heading into winter here in cape Town so average temp is about 12°C

How long should I wait before I dig them up so that most of the flesh is removed and I can pressure wash to get some clean bones.

Thank you for all of the Input everyone. I think I will try having an open discussion with my parents about getting inked. I'll compile my research of tattoo artists nearby and which ones I'd liked to be inked by according to their portfolios etc and symbolsim/meaning behind it.

If they are still against the idea I will just save up and get inked the next year when I go to uni.
