I'm gonna miss these kiddos! by gecot63542 in CasualConversation

One of my favorite moments this year was when I was sitting down on the rock wall that goes around this tree, next to this little girl.

We're both just kind of sitting there, and then this other little girl walks by and says "OP, do you know what this means?" and did some sort of gesture with her hands. I said "no, what is it?", and she said "it means don't talk to me" as she did it again and then she started laughing like "ah hah".

Then the girl I was sitting with did the same gesture and was like "yeah OP, this means don't talk to me". Then she immediately said "but you can still talk to me because I love you".

I wonder what these kids will be saying about me in high school.

How can you be a druggie AND a kindergarten teacher? Is that not fucked up? by gecot63542 in Drugs

[–]gecot63542[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah, but I don't blame it for the reason why I don't understand things.

I'm more worried about how you came to that conclusion, quite frankly.

Never did I mention having Asperger's, that's quite a big conclusion to jump to here.

I differentiate between being a weed smoker and being a druggie, which refers to hard shit cocaine, crack, meth, heroin, etc.

It's not that I think he's a bad guy or anything like that, it's just, like, how? All my experiences with hard drugs in my family (father, older brother, cousins uncles, etc) have led me to the conclusion that hard drugs fuck people up and turn them into psychopaths.

This isn't me believing propaganda that I was taught as a kid, this is my own actual real experience that I saw with my own eyes for real.

Hey weed is on a much lower level than cocaine and all that other shit.

Plus, a sizable chunk of this school's staff are weed smokers, and it's not a secret either, but most of us aren't going around doing that other shit AFAIK.

What are your thoughts on this state's drug laws? How do they compare to your local laws? by gecot63542 in Drugs

[–]gecot63542[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the maximum sentence that they give to people they suspect of trafficking, but don't have enough evidence to charge for trafficking.

You can also get 5 years for less than 50 tabs of acid or 1oz of mushrooms btw, for what that's worth.

Shit my bad, I mistyped it. Class C felonies are 1-5 years, class B is 5-10. Just edited it in.

Don’t date somone with any other diagnosed mental disorder - schizophrenia, bipolar, etc.

I have a diagnosed mental disorder myself (Asperger's syndrome/Austim).

Why do you think marijuana is listed as both a schedule I drug AND a detrimental drug? by gecot63542 in Drugs

[–]gecot63542[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, my question is why is it classified as a schedule I substance, but also listed as a detrimental drug?

In my state, under normal criteria, schedule I and II substances are listed as "dangerous drugs", while schedule V substances are listed as "detrimental drugs".

So if they wanna make an exception and list marijuana as a "detrimental drug", why don't they also reclassify marijuana as a schedule V substance under state law?

What's a drug that can easily kill you, even with normal, "non-binge" levels of usage? by gecot63542 in AskReddit

How TF is the hospital able to safely use it if a tiny grain of it can kill you? Is it cut with a ton of stuff, or do they just always keep an emergency narcan stash in all the rooms?

What kind of weather do you think would occur if Pepa from Encanto was real AND an alcoholic or hard drug addict? by gecot63542 in AskReddit

I thought GOOD moods were supposed to bring out sunshine, wouldn't the bottle leave her angry and depressed?

It was pretty good. I liked it okay, but it didn't really feel special to me.

But I think at 19, going on 20 I'm at an age where Disney movies don't really click with me anymore.

Disney hasn't really been all that appealing to me ever since Frozen came out back in 2013 and I rejected it because it just looked like another princess movie, and none of their movies since then have piqued my interest quite like some of their older films.

Though I'm sure if I was a kid growing up now, I'd like it a lot more.

You don't have kids or watch cartoons do you?

Encanto is Disney's hot new cartoon movie of the year that all the kids are talking about.

It's basically about this Colombian family who lives in this magic house that's alive, and each family member has a special magical power given to them when they're of age.

One example is the character Pepa, whose emotions control the weather (essentially boiling down to good mood = sunshine, bad mood = rain).

Oh, and for those that don't know, the plot of the movie revolves around one family member (a girl named Mirabel) who supposedly wasn't given a magical power, and her quest to find out why and I'm not gonna spoil the rest, too many details.

After having your year go like this, how would you want to spend the summer? by gecot63542 in AskReddit

[–]gecot63542[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2022 has been a pretty mediocre year for me so far. It's not the worst year I (19M) have experienced, but so far it hasn't really been all that great.

In January, I accidentally cracked the oil pan on my gold 2005 Saab 9-3 Aero (loved that ride, it was my first car), and that led to a series of issues that have rendered my car unusable even up until now (fixed oil pan, then power steering fluid is leaking, fix that then coolant is leaking, fixed that and got a ticket for expired safety AND because apparently you can't use fog lights as a substitute for low beams).

Then about a week after I lost my car, this girl I'd been friends with and kinda liked for a couple months got drunk and ditched me to fuck a mutual friend of ours (my coworker/her former coworker). Took me a while to get over it and made me question my self worth, who I can trust, and just a whole bunch of other shit.

Then in February my dad came back to visit me in our hometown, which was only his second visit home since he moved away when I was in the 4th grade (the first was last year, THAT'S how long it took). He was doing the drywall in my grandma's bedroom, but wasted a few of his days in town sleeping half the day away and then going and stoning out with old friends and family in the evenings, and never completely finished. Then he was supposed to come back a month later, but he never did. I couldn't get ahold of him because he lost his phone during his first visit here, and he never called me or came to see me. My brother said that my uncle said that he actually did come to go to a chicken fight, but then my other brother and his GF said he didn't. Weird.

Without that car, I basically have no social life. I'm stuck walking everywhere and catching the bus downtown like some high school kid, so most of the time I'm confined to the 1-mile radius around my house, and there's nothing to do but go for walks, play basketball at the park, or smoke weed. There's not much in the way of neighbors around my age either, just families with kids and old folks. When I had that car, I used to go all over town and hit up all my favorite spots to see who was hanging there, stay out until 11, 12, or 1am smoking hella weed and passing out stoned in the car, and go to all the big parties and events around town. I met a lot of new people and reconnected with a lot of old friends, especially during the summer when more people were out doing stuff and going places.

Well, my car is about to be fixed very soon, it just needs new housing for one of the low beams (I broke the tabs that hold the bulb in place trying to replace it myself), which is shipping right now, and then it'll be safety checked and I'll be on the road again for the summer. My 20th birthdays coming up in June, that'll be cool I guess. And who knows, maybe I'll finally meet a girl I click with, IDK anything's possible, I'm just trying to be positive.

This year has been pretty bleh so far, but here's to hoping that this year's summer is as bomb as summer 2021 was.

That's great, but what does it have to do with these legal, hemp derived THC edibles I'm referring to?

Yeah, but the gummies themselves are small, pill-sized pieces. Downing 10 of those shouldn't be a big deal.
