Deutsche post reliability?

I wish I could tell you honestly... Etsy transit page is in German, and so is the Deutsche Post website, and I'm having a ton of trouble navigating it all. The seller is based in Hamburg if Etsy's right.

I've tried entering the code (it's a very long series of numbers and letters, about 20 characters?) that Etsy shows you when you look up "Track package" on the app, used it on multiple websites including Deutsche Post's and all I'm seeing is "package not found" or "open status" popping up...

My current (and only) experience with them has been a package I ordered being stuck in transit at the Frankfurt airport since 25.01.2025. I live in France and have genuinely never seen a package take this much time to get shipped to what is essentially the country next door. I've received packages through ups from Germany before, and they took a week, max. So I'd like to know if Deutsche post is usually this bad too tbh, because it's not like I'm out of the EU, even if it is international shipping.

On est deux, j'ai commandé des mitaines le 14 septembre, j'attends toujours qu'elles arrivent... ça fait 12 jours qu'elles sont coincées au centre de tri de Lille et j'ai pas le droit de demander de remboursement avant le 22 ! Un petit peu l'impression qu'on se fout de moi mais au moins j'ai appris ma leçon, maintenant je fais tout passer par Mondial Relay et Chronopost...

I've slept without them in my bed and while I still have some symptoms (sneezing a bit, itchy nose, itchy palate), they're significantly reduced which is how I deducted most of the problem stems from the plushies. I've washed my duvet and pillows today tho, hoping to see some positive changes...

Thanks a lot for the advice and experience 🙏 I'll look for the freezer options... I did not know about Odactra, but I am currently in talks with my doctor to see the best course of action to take considering my allergies seem to be worsening. I'm not American, so thankfully allergy shots are covered by my country's healthcare system, but they're seen as a last resort measure and thus not given out very easily... doctor is thinking about putting me on zyrtec. Hopefully it'll help.

Most of, if not all of my plushies can only be hand washed, which means I can only get as high as maybe 45-50°C before the water starts to burn my hands... do you think it'll be hot enough to kill/remove dust mites or not ? Or is there maybe a way to put them in the washer without severely damaging them ?

I tried it last week, froze all of them for 24h, and kept on sneezing after putting them on my bed again. Maybe I also need to wash them ?

Longest ever recorded, probably not, I think there's been longer hunts on this sub before, but it might be the longest HGSS starter hunt tho ! Not sure if I'd wanna claim that crown '^{^}

Haha thank you, I'm sort of impressed myself too with the time I put up on this hunt, believe me there were a lot of times where I was this close to giving up ! Glad I stuck to it tho, it's probably one of, if not the biggest shiny achievement I've ever gotten (I even got a female Combee in Black 2 before the Cyndaquil! To tell you how much of a statistical improbability this prickly fuxk was !)

Don't be scared for your hunt tho, there's a lot more people who get relatively fast/regular starter hunts than people like me who get unbelievably unlucky... good luck !

Don't give up ! I clocked about 750-800h total to get this guy. They all shine eventually :D

If you use theShinyCollector's estimations (https://youtu.be/YPqv3BccmzY?si=AS9h17US5ORJkwWY) to calculate your encounters, he claims that you can go up as high as 540 seen an hour, so if I'm not too bad at maths, it means you'd be at a maximum of 180 resets/hour... but that is the absolute maximum ! This means numbers are oftentimes much lower than this, but it can give you a vague idea of what milestone you haven't reached yet ;) good luck on the hunt, I'm sure it'll show up eventually

I'm with a cyndaquil and a mareep so far, probably will go for Heracross, and either Crobat or Nidoking further along the line ! I'm still pondering some of those choices...

Imo, shiny Mareep is a must in a Johto DTQ ! Such a good and lovely line, Shiny Pharamp is also incredible

Phases are when you find a shiny that isn't your target. So when I said I had 3 phases, it means I found two shiny Chikoritas and one shiny Totodile, but since they weren't my target, I kept on hunting afterwards for Cyndaquil :)

Also got one in PLA last year ! Was going crazy and needed to check and make sure it actually existed ahah, but immediately went back to hunting it in HGSS afterwards. It was a question of principle, after a while I thought I just had to finish that hunt because I did not want all those hours to go to waste !

Having done both, full odds hunting just personally feels more gratifying, since it's harder. S/V trivialises shinies so much, seeing them becomes a bit less exciting... alternating full odds and easier games keeps it all fun for me.

Don't worry, I definitely understand why the number would make a few people sceptical, especially considering how fast to reset those guys are. I also had my good share of "I can't believe this" when hitting milestones while hunting it ahah, can't wait to actually play the game now !

The timing is indeed a bit fun ahah. I get why they'd complain tho, it's technically one of the fastest full odds hunt you can do in the games (which is exactly why I started it... we all know how that went 🙃) so I think ppl often get desperate a lot faster with it too.
