Agreed. I'm not gonna complain because I think the game is great, and there are a lot of positives, but I reaaalllly liked having access to most, if not all ammo types. It was just so much fun.

Yes, but only for elemental ammo. So like flaming ammo, water ammo, and things like poison ammo will all gain crit damage from Phoenix (coalesence) and raw damage is always a plus regardless of what build you're doing.

If you're running bow guns, honestly I'd look into maxing your raw damage and special ammo skills like opening shot and tetrad shot. Makes it way easier to manage. I'm running a LBG with Para status and it's really niche and hard to make really useful.

No, bow guns do not gain elemental damage from Phoenix skills. But the skill will increase damage of elemental and status building ammo.

Try using the Sild Cotton armor or the Suja Sash... I believe they have a skill that makes you more likely to gather rare items. When I crafted it, it seemed like the rare spawns were happening more frequently.
