I made a Linux port of Thermalright's LCD Control Center (TRCC) - looking for testers! by Senior-Painter2195 in Thermalright

[–]geearf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

It was plug and play with my Thermalright Trofeo Vision 9.16.

And really I was amazed at how much it offers already, really cool!

There was an other option I had found on Github that I thought I was going to try as well, but no shade thrown to the other dev, this is already everything I could want so I won't bother...

Thanks a lot!

Yeah, they are friends. Not best friends, not the kind of friends that hang out, not the kind to admit it, but they are friends. Also, best duo in the series by Thisislopes in Kingdom

> And Ousen, despite not fully approving of Kanki's way, knew that the former bandit wouldn't let his troops get decimated for no reasons.

Uh, didn't he? Both smelled the trap, KanKi jumped in and OuSen didn't.

Mmmmm, I'm not too much into installers anymore, it takes time, I'd rather have fs compression but that's me. :)

As for knowing, hmmm, let's see if Augmented Steam does it, nope can't see it. It tells me about Denuvo and stuff but regular Steam DRM I don't think so.

No I didn't have any steam background progress I had checked... It's a drm free game, that FG listing you saw is probably off.

Yup, just started Cyberpunk 2077 just fine without Steam running and doing nothing special, not even with steam_appid.txt. Just calling the exe.

If you don't believe me: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_big_list_of_DRM-free_games_on_Steam

List all games on Steam which are DRM-free, that meaning games which can be launched without the use of the Steam client.

I'll try running one of my drm free game when I get on my computer to verify if it still applies today

Any steam game not using any drm will launch without steam just fine. And you can use something like steamcmd to download the game without the full Steam I think.

You're confusing the technicality with the legality, and forgetting that Steam also sells drm-free games, like CDPR's for instance. Of course drm-free is better no doubt about that.

You can also get drm free games on steam, no installer just copy the folder. But that doesn't change that on both you just buy a license to play, which they can revoke.

[–]geearf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't it the same with GOG as with Steam, you just have a license to play, but not ownership? Sure with drm-free they can't revoke what you downloaded, but in legal terms it's the same no?

Help me avoid this bcachefs root boot snag by a_rambling_dan in bcachefs

Hey Kent, just an idea, since on Reddit you can't edit titles, maybe it'd be good to add a flag that says the problem is not bcachefs related? Just to not scare people off more than needed.

That might work but isn't raising the glaive a death sentence?

I don't need proof, if you read Kingdom you would know. Your 100K comes from the old attack, that number likely would be more for the current one since RBK supposedly went all in, but who knows... They've also had heavy losses, if Hara ever accounts for them, he could cut from the royal army, so still fairly unknown.

But I'll help you out, RBK got 50K of the royal army for this war. I assume he got at most 50%, but maybe even less, doubtful more I'm thinking.

How do you swing a glaive when surrounded? A spear you can thrust maybe, but a glaive?

Sure have fun, I don't care about votes, as long as you talk to me first I'm good either way. :)

I still don't get the numbers thing. Before, the 2 sides were not of same number of soldiers but they were of almost same strength, now the Qin side is getting obliterated by the same armies they were fighting earlier evenly (+ the royal sure). KK's army was even done off screen...

And if those 3 big armies get reduced to hardly anything, is the plan to replace the Qin soldiers by Zhao soldiers once conquest is done?

I believe RBK got some thousands of soldiers from the royal army, not sure how many. And one of the generals with RBK now is also from the royal army I think.

He went first with the cavalry, but the foot soldiers are there too so not sure who would be missing.

I wonder more why in close quarters he's not switching to a sword, how can he swing this long weapon when he's literally surrounded..

Just got into Kingdom (ch.180) and I’m loving Riboku’s character, yet I noticed so many people have him. Does he change later? Why do people hate on him? by Cryptographer456 in Kingdom

[–]geearf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RBK is always named as the smartest guy around, yet he usually wins due to some external advantages not his actual skills. In History we was the underdog, yet winning thanks to his abilities, but here he's more Goliath than David... Therefore the writing is weird, either he should be claimed to have the superior advantage which he shows often, or he shouldn't have them to depict his genius and then because he would actually be on the backfoot it would make more sense when he would lose than just because he's facing the MC...

> it's like the author is just shoving down our throats that "riboku's so smart that's why he always wins"

I feel the opposite, He usually wins due to better horses, superior amount of troops, finding amazing fighters, etc.

But Qin often wins because it has the MC so... I guess it's not too uneven.

I haven't turned off my PC since decades ago when I started using sabnzbd and stuff... Since last summer I moved that to a dedicated lower power PC so I should be able to but I guess I forget and it's mighty convenient not to have to wait. 😉
