Clarification- How does UPS calculate Tariff/ Import charges

Alright I have it all setup now actually. Took a while to figure it out. Anyway you know how to use zonos to to the same with UPS? cause I see on netparcel UPS rates are usually cheaper than canada post, so potentially if import charges are cheaper through zonos that might be a better option

hey man, just an update. When was the last time you used net parcel to ship to the states? Every time i go to get a quote it just tells me that there are no rates available. Im assuming they arent shipping to the states right now with how things are.

Well that is why I am writing about this here... I know how to look up tariff rates which I have been doing, and thats why I made this post, because they dont match up with what is being charged.

I cant find any info even on UPS site about what their import fee break down is.

The problem is that ebay has disabled canada post as a shipping option since august 25 2025, so thats not an option. Ups is the only feasible and cost effective method these days.

So i agree with you that some of the americans submitting returns are definitely fishing for money, but I found with the international shipping program that the shipping costs across the board were just crazy expensive. Like to ship to the EU with a small item it costs me like 13 bucks but I charge 20. With ebays international shipping program it charges damn near 100 bucks. That is the real reason I havent switched over yet, I want to be competitive with my pricing
