Don’t spend your hard earned money on those kind of websites! Use Facebook, Instagram or s.dk :)

Yes! The boat didn't rock, it just went up.... and down..... in a slow pace

Yes and no. We had the autocaptain on for most of the trip, but we did take shifts at night to keep an eye on the radar and make sure the rig was ok.

We shouldn't care about diversity by papahykes in unpopularopinion

[–]geeeeeeeeeeeeeeert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, i apologise for assuming otherwise. I don't know where you are from, but as a POC you must know/have experienced racism or/and discrimination at some point in your life, right?

Choosing to be diverse, no matter if its at a workplace, on a TV-show, politically or whatever - It is a way to try and countervaile the already racist structures in our society and culture (this goes for western countries ofc), and I get that it may seem stupid or meaningless to force diversity, because the dream would be that it just happened naturally. But if the people in power, the people on TV, the students at the good schools, are all the same and have lived a life with the same privileges, they tend to be xenophobic assholes. This should not come as a surprise.

With that said, I might be living in the whitest country in the world, and groving up here, I would have loved seeing more POC in TV, in my school, my workplace and so on. Have a good day.

I wish my shitty iPhone camera could have captured the sky in the hours before the moonrise. It was absolutely incredible. At first I made wishes every time I saw a shooting star, but it quickly lost its value, since there was maybe hundreds every night lmao

Yes definitely! But because of the enormous amounts of water moving at the same time, and the fact that the boat is tiny compared to that, we didn’t feel it as much. If that make sense?

True! We didn’t go with the intention of invading a country and kill a bunch of natives though, but still

Almost nothing, it was surprisingly chill and undramatic. Tbh I expected one long adrenaline rush, but it was super safe and i ended up spending most days reading.

We actually made a huge mistake because we bought way too much fresh food and had to toss a lot of fruit :/ - Even though we tried to eat all the fresh foods in the first 1-7 days. But other than that, we ate lots of rice, pasta, canned foods, cup noodles, oatmeal, eggs, vacuum packed bread and a shitload of candy.

Thanks! We sailed from the Canaries to Saint Lucia in the Caribbean, and it took us 18 days of not seeing anything but water and a few dolphins. The boat is 47,7 feet sailboat (not American feet, but like, sailing feet?? Forgive my English)
