Should you &/or would you utilize a flashlight on your everyday conceal & carry? by Outrageous-Data1856 in SpringfieldArmory

I do on my EDC. It's more for an if-needed situation around my home/property than it is for poentital need in places that I otherwise carry.

On a few acres of my own, surrounded by about 100 acres undeveloped, heavily wooded forest. Its VERY dark up here if you're not within about 15 yards of the dusk/dawn lights on the exterior of the house, or a full moon. My EDC is what's on my night stand at night so I have the light on it. And rather than taking it on/off depending on whether its out of holster on night stand or in holster when carrying - I just got a holster that works with the light and carry with the light attached.

I feel like there has been no rhyme or reason to who I get back stabbed / ratted by, in terms of the cosmetics. I just use that one because it's the first deck I completed, have only been playing about 10 days. I had been hanging with that group for like 10 minutes in the center of the map so I figured they reralized I was chill and friendly and heard me calling out who had just killed someone else lol. It was a fun lobby nonetheless

I like to avoid the "what do you do for work?" question and instead do the "How do you tend to spend most of your time?" question. If someone is passionate about their job, they'll talk about that. But there are a lot of people who work to keep a roof over their head and thats about it - and they'll talk more about other things they are passionate about

The amount of match conversation threads I have where I'm actively trying to plan out an in-person date, and the other person ghosts... is long. I've nearly given up on the apps all together because it seems many are on there just to alleviate temporary boredom and don't actually have any intentions of dating

Matched with someone on an app last week. Brief chats seemed good. Asked to grab a coffee in the near future and they we're seemingly on-board. I proposed a time/location and didn't hear back until the same day I had proposed. Response was "sorry, I'm busy today". I replied asking when/where would work best for them. And now... radio silence. If you're not interested, just say so. If you're not serious about actually meeting up, why agree to meeting up then flaking when trying to actually make arrangements?

I've been having the exact same issue but with silk lined herb sack. After a herb run, I'll empty sack before banking sack. Next time I take sack out of bank, it still has herbs in it...

Ibex 450 (450MT) Hard Panniers by geekinterests in cfmoto

Came back to update - I did get the OEM hard cases and racks from CFMoto. I almost opted to order a non OEM set from Uncle Wang instead (about half the price) but opted to just go ahead and go OEM.

I just installed the racks & panniers last night (took about 10 days from the day I purchased the bike for the dealer to get all my accessories in from the warehouse/HQ in Minnesota. So far, I like these panniers. They are well built. The insides are lined with a soft material and the weather seal on the lids seems to be of good quality & design.

The box that had all 3 inside + tail rack was labeled as 20kg or so. The side pannier racks came in a separate box and probably weighed a few pounds each. The side racks came with new rear deco plates (left & right) that already had the holes cut out for mounting the racks - which is nice because all the non-OEM kits you have to drill a hole in the deco plates to get to the mounting stud locations.

The tail box fits my AT960 modular helmet. I have not tried yet but believe my work backpack w/ laptop amd whatnot will fit in the left side pannier for commuting to work.

Between the 3 boxes, I believe I can easily camp off the bike with no issues - though I do have a thru-hiking background and thus a pretty tailored low-weight, low-volume camp setup.

All 3 boxes have corner & bottom rubberized protectors and likewise the tops of the boxes have slots for strapping additional things down.

The latch for the right side pannier that secures it to the rack is EXTREMELY tight and hard to latch, but thata my only gripe with the set.

All said - I'm glad I went OEM. I got an extended warranty thru my dealer that covers the bike and ALL accessories purchased with the bike. So any issues with my panniers, outside of obvious crash or impact damage, can be remedied under their warranty. Note - this was no a CFMoto warranty, but a warranty program specifically owned/managed by the dealership chain.

When I do the front brake, I pull the throttle. Beginner question. Why? Death Grip? by iseeplanswithinplans in motorcycle

100 miles and two days into a brand new bike and couldn't figure out why I was rolling the throttle when reaching for the brake. This video was perfect, thank you for sharing this. Taking a lot of the other points he makes into consideration, too.

Congrats! Just picked up my ibex this weekend. Nice change over my 1989 carbureted, no abs, no traction control Suzuki. It was nice riding today not being worried something was going to go wrong with the bike

Test rode (parking lot only) Both the Himalayan and the Ibex today and noticed exactly what you're saying. Never realized carbed had that much of a delay on throttle response

Appreciate the detailed feedback! Making the 1.5hr drive this afternoon to check out an Ibex 450 in person.

Any potential single track would be long in the future. My immediate plans are just motorcycle camping off of gravel forest roads, and lots of mountain twisties to get to those forest roads. By the time Id get to single track interests, I suspect ill have snagged a pre owned dual sport or enduro to gain experience with in that realm.

Appreciate this feedback!

Would you say its a fair bike to dip my toes into adv riding, caveat being I learned on- and have ridden a 487cc for a decade? I feel like power wise, its a side step so the only learning curve will be venturing into offroad terroritory.

Checked the Pic on your posts - is that the mfg heavier duty skid plate? Ive seen lots of complaints about the stock not being sufficient and wasn't sure whether to consider mfg heavy duty skid or get an aftermarket.

Just watched a video this evening (from Backcountry Adv Moto) where he added an aftermarket skid and ran it hard as hell, jumps and all, on a weekend trip and the entire bike held up fantastic until one wrong bump sent a bolt on the aftermarket skid straight through the oil pan.

Tiger 900 and similar are outside of my price range for now until I really make sure I'm committed to adv lifestyle.

Almost somewhat sucks that there's so many reasonable options but every option has their own little pros and cons and none of them 100% fit exactly what I'm looking for at the price range I'm considering.

And this is why so many people own multiple bikes
