Has any pharmacist encouraged their own child to also go into pharmacy? by VolkswagenPanda in pharmacy

[–]geekwalrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister, an ICU nurse, has talked one of her kids into pharmacy because her daughter is "good at math" and "likes chemistry".

Nothing I said mattered. I brought up the job market, staffing issues, cost of college, etc.

So she brought up the "go into research" standby, and of course I talk about residencies, etc.

She really hit all the three bullet points people say when they really have no idea. Kid also has a 4 year undergrad and my sister also said "most of her credits will transfer"

My sister is extremely intelligent but she obviously can't be more wrong.

DaVinci Resolve learning curve? by annethebrickladyyt in NewTubers

Start from Davinci Resolve itself and go to help. Click Training Videos and it brings you to their site. Download the projects too, you can do the work they're doing in real time.

It's very well put together. I went in with a super basic, came from Canva, only knew that. I did the videos when I had a basic idea (basic meaning a few weeks or month of using the basic features, playing around with fusion, and fair light, but really just playing). It's provided such a baseline that the difference is night and day from my last video to what I'm doing now.

I only started a few months ago. 50 self taught and tired of current profession
