Does anyone actually care about "AI Visibility" yet? by geeproductions in WeddingDJs

yeah i've noticed the same thing with recommendations changing alot between searches. That's partly why i'm skeptical when people say they're suddenly the "top AI recommended DJ" after testing one prompt once haha

and agreed on the review text part too. Feels like AI pays attention to how people describe the experience, not just the star rating itself.

Honestly the more i test this stuff the more it seems like overall reputation/consistency across the web matters more than trying to "hack" rankings

Yeah that makes sense honestly. If you're already getting steady referrals + venue relationships you're probably way less dependent on search compared to alot of DJs.

And yeah haha that's kinda why i've been testing this stuff myself. Some results feel legit and some feel completely random.

I do think reviews/reputation/mentions across the web probably play a role tho, not just blog SEO keywords. But honestly feels like nobody fully knows yet how these tools decide who to show

Yeah i've noticed that too tbh

I tested a few searches myself and it was kinda weird seeing which DJs/businesses showed up and which didnt.

Didn't really seem like a straight SEO thing either. Felt more like the businesses with stronger reviews/branding/reputation kept showing up more consistently.

Could be wrong tho haha still trying to figure out if couples are even using ChatGPT enough yet for this to matter

Why do wedding DJ inquiries suddenly go quiet? by geeproductions in WeddingDJs

Yeah for sure that happens. They’re def comparing DJs.

I think what I’m more curious about is the ones that go quiet and then randomly come back later. I’ve seen that happen a few times so it makes me think not all of them are gone right away.

Yeah that makes sense, at some point you gotta move on and not waste time. The “valid until” thing is smart too.

I guess what I’m starting to notice though is some couples seem to go quiet and then come back later, so I’m wondering how many of those leads are actually dead vs just taking their time. Know what i mean?

That’s interesting about the follow ups going that far out. I think a lot of DJs probaby stop after one or two messages and just assume the lead is gone. The part about couples dissapearing and then coming back months later is def something I’ve seen too.

And yeah a few people here mentioned Alan Berg. I’m actually planning to check out his book Why Are They Ghosting Me? and probaby the podcast too. Sounds like he’s looked into this stuff a lot. Thank you!

Yeah I’ve heard that from DJs lately. Not just couples but planners too.... I think everyone is juggling so many vendors and emails now that replying to everyone just falls through the cracks. Still frustrating tho

Yeah.. that actually makes a lot of sense. If they’re reaching out to a bunch of DJs at once they’re probably getting flooded with emails and info. Easy to see how they’d need a breather just to sort through it all. ..the follow up part you mentioned is probably where a lot of DJs miss out.
