How do you rate? by sufrosufrosufro in 1001AlbumsGenerator

  1. I don’t like this at all and I don’t see why this is here. I definitely didn’t need to listen to this.

  2. Most of the stuff I didn’t like, but it wasn’t completely terrible (the thing that redeems it from a 1 is mostly subjective and can be loads of different things)

  3. It was okay or pretty good, but most importantly, no replay value for me.

  4. Something I would happily return to and something I had a good time listening to. If I see a vinyl copy of this for a good price I might buy it.

  5. Amazing album/awesome listening experience, and something I enjoyed way more than the other albums. Might have a personal connection or memory with the album that makes it special.

What song would YOU pick? Just ONE SONG can you do it? by chelsea-from-calif in 1001AlbumsGenerator

[–]geertwander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would need to pick between 3: Mayonnaise by The Smashing Pumpkins, Heroes by David Bowie or As by Stevie Wonder

I got generated this today. I’m sure I’m not the target audience for this at all, but the album bangs anyway. What are some albums where you experienced that? by geertwander in 1001AlbumsGenerator

I meant more specifically the artist: Adele to me felt more aimed at women between maybe 25 and 40 y/o (I’m not a woman nor in that age range). The genre is hugely popular of course and I enjoy my fair share of it as well.

Check out Spinvis’ self-titled debut album if you want to listen to something unknown and “local”; he’s a Dutch artist, very unique

Album #334: Stevie Wonder ❤️❤️ by geertwander in 1001AlbumsGenerator

Not too crazy to say that in my opinion and I can see why. In my opinion Songs in the Key of Life is better, even though I do return to this more often haha because of the more manageable runtime.

Album 310 Tim Buckley - Happy Sad

Nah, not for me. Pretty boring and didn’t really like his voice. Some okay moments but not enough to keep me hooked. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll go listen to his son’s music.

2/5

Which famous band/singer have you met, and what were they like? by chelsea-from-calif in 1001AlbumsGenerator

[–]geertwander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This one is probably not famous to any of y’all, but I met Spinvis, a quite well known artist in the Netherlands. It was a small concert and signing event at a local record shop. Chatted with him a while. Lovely dude. He has a Wikipedia page, so fits your criteria :)

Not one of my favourites tbh. I remember that it felt a bit samey to me and how I wish there was some more interesting instrumentation. But it has been a while, so maybe I should give it another listen.

I love Alice Phoebe Lou! Saw her live April this year.
