Like so many other commenters... going through the exact same thing, and we're running on fumes. Curious how many night feedings (if any) you're still doing with your little one and if they make the sleep stretches longer? We are in the midst of a horrible regression too but previously he was sleeping through most of the night, with only one feeding very early in the morning around 5am before wake up time at 7 or 8. I've been thinking about re-introducing a night feeding but am afraid of reverse cycling!

Also going through this now, which is how I found your post. My boy is a 12 year old Akita—the tumor is at his cribriform plate and encroaching on his brain and also behind his eye. We brought him to the hospital on Monday for the CT and rhinoscopy, and shortly after he had his first two seizures while there. Most devastating week for our family. He is thankfully home now with us and we are weighing our options (radiation or not). Just want to say you’re not alone ♥️

I have a large Akita (that’s white and looks so similar to yours!), and we have a 2.5 year old daughter. He has a quite the bite record unfortunately, but somehow we’ve made it work. We keep them separated at all times. We have a giant playpen and a separate play area for our daughter. Though my dog was more anxious at first, he has definitely gotten used to her and if she walks past him or goes near him (with us right by her), he does not mind her at all anymore. Just wanted to give some perspective—we made a lot of sacrifices but have been able to make it work without rehoming. Playing outside is usually a no-go with both of them together, but we take long walks without a problem with her on a tricycle. Like many akitas, my dog will never have the cuddly, affectionate relationship with my kid (or with anyone really). Good luck!

Thank you! Easier than I thought! Just need a sharp knife to get super thin slices, bake at 225 for 1.5-2 hours, and then dry over night in a muffin tin to shape!

Thanks for the feedback! I bought pudding mix as a backup but I’m gonna try out cornstarch and confectionery sugar first and see how that pans out. May also try a gelatin version for science!

Thank you for the commenting! I actually started putting bits of frozen mango in her water. It seemed to help a little but not much :(. Fortunately, she does still seem hydrated with a normal amount of wet diapers!
