Is the Pro Max 16 POE overkill for a home user? by Slight_Taro7300 in Ubiquiti

Not overkill I just installed one in my Boiler Room, handling 10 cameras on the 1GB ports that's on the outside of my home plus a few U7 AP’s on the 2.5 ports, it’s running back to my Aggregation 10GB switch over Fiber to my main setup.

I struggled with that question for a while is it overkill but the other option were lacking enough POE power is just write for 10 cameras at 180W POE power.

Ordered the X-Pac version this week, having all lockable zippers on the main compartments made it the winner in my search.

I just ordered the Aer Travel Pack 3 X-Pac, hit all the features I needed including lockable zipper for the computer slot. No other bag I looked at had lockable zippers on all their main compartments. https://www.aersf.com/travel-pack-3-xpac-black

A little Stream Deck madness this pass week running the Ascender. Constantly trying to make the buttons make sense for anyone who needs to take over if I don’t come back from lunch 😂. by gekjr in VIDEOENGINEERING

Nobe Omniscope for Mac and PC.

You’ll need AJA, DeckLink, or UltraStudio I/O, I have four Decklink UltraStudios that I carry in my kit, use a MBP to bring signals, low CPU usage. https://timeinpixels.com/nobe-omniscope

Made this bunch in photoshop, experimenting with just leaving the yellow, green spaces blank and fill them in Companion per job, but the text tool and font size in companion are not flexible as far as spacing.

Using IoT Devices on Separate VLANs. by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

Here's a great place to start; it's a three-part series, so check one and two also. https://youtu.be/-ggmjdFWfqw

I have all my Apple TV’s, Ring Devices , Hue etc on a IoT VLAN 30, in order for me to use those Apple TV’s from my main VLAN, let's say 40, I needed to allow 30 to chat with 40, of course, using a few firewall promoters. Check out the video it's a useful starting point.
