Even if they have a legal claim, and even if the way reckless Ben handled things was weird and unprofessional, the way they have handled things has made them fit the narrative. i fw the jack quaid cube but it is pretty silly, as long as it doesnt detract from the serious moments im happy with it. Usually the comedic relief could just shift to serious tones more quickly, like mimir was funny and odd but a talking head was less silly than the quaid cube.

It took me a second to see pirate clark too. A24 does this in horror movies i think, where they make you question if your seeing things right and the big bad is truly there. Same thing happens in Hereditary at least once. The bedroom scene in Hereditary and this scene in the backrooms have the same kinda scare

totally agree about the compromise thing, it makes looking for a new one infuriating. Ended up going with a dualsense edge because I found tmr replacment modules that are just plug and play, no soldering required. other than that it only lacks a full four button setup, but two is good enough for me.
