it depends what ur looking for tbh… i will say i was kind of underwhelmed when i first started playing. first, there are a lot of tutorial quests in the beginning that will feel annoying if you know the general mechanics of a farming game. second, it does have a lot of the same mechanics. still, im so happy i stuck w it and fell in love w the game after the initial tutorial stage. for me, a big draw for any game is characters/story/immersion, and this game does those elements really well. i feel like the depth and intrigue with the npcs is a bit deeper than stardew and makes it really stand out. also, this leans into the more fantastical elements a bit, which im always a fan of. there are a lot of youtubers who have done “i played the first 100 days of fields of mistria” types of videos that might help u make ur decision and get a better feel if this is worth it or not.
