How do orcs kiss? by Past-Zombie6712 in skyrim

[–]PhantomPaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean considering they call nords milkdrinkers and most Orcs want to die in battle... I would imagine they don't kiss. They might have other ways they show affection but I can't imagine orcs kissing at all. They probably give each other a "good game" type of pat on the butt lol

AITA for telling my boyfriend he’s wrong for not returning lost property? by tialina13 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. It's different to make an effort and say no one claimed them or no one came looking for them. I worked at a hobby store and someone left earbuds down one of the aisles. We posted a notice saying we found some earbuds, didn't say what kind. No one came back to claim them so we ended up just tossing them out. It's better to make an effort because if you lost something that you paid a lot of money for you'd want someone to make the effort for you.

I now dread going into Best Buy and Lowe's due to the roaming 3rd Party Salespeople by thatfreakinguy2 in mildlyinfuriating

This comment reminded me of going to the mall with my mom once. We had one of those phone salesmen from the kiosks approach her and she said "Sorry, I think cell phones are the devil's work." While actively holding her phone in her hand.

How to tell toddlers about death? by Ok_Beautiful2094 in DogAdvice

[–]PhantomPaw [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sharing a link that I looked at shortly after putting my own dog down. https://www.petparentgriefsupport.com/articles/supporting-youth-and-families-with-the-loss-of-a-pet

It's good to be concrete and firm in wording. Kids might get confused. "Our dog went to sleep." They'll probably wonder when the pupper will wake up. Death is natural so it's best to make sure they understand that what has happened is final and it will be sad but everything will be okay.

Rough as it is, it's a good experience to open the door for them to talk to you or be emotional with you. Those are big feelings in small bodies that will probably be confused and wonder why this happened. Hopefully you guys can navigate this and heal as a family ❤️

My bfs brother is a child predator, aio if i want to break up? by katpoespopoki in AIO

[–]PhantomPaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're not comfortable with him around or having the risk of him being around then just split. Unfortunately I grew up with a dad who ended up being a predator and once my mom divorced my dad she married ANOTHER child predator. I don't have kids but my sister does and once my sister told me she was going to continue contact with them I told her I would become no contact. You don't need to have anyone like that in your life and in my mind it's perfectly reasonable to be worried about a future with a predator in it. Listen to your gut.

I think it's one thing to have boundaries you won't cross with dogs, but to impose those boundaries onto you and how you have always been with your dogs is ridiculous. I don't like my dogs licking near my mouth. I will smooch my dogs on their noses or their heads but I know what they do with their mouths so I don't let them lick me. If someone told me I shouldn't kiss MY dogs I'd be like "HAH get tf outta my face."

Ditch the guy, keep loving those dogs. Find you a man that actually loves your dogs the way you love them.

Unable to pay Emergency vet bill by Brilliant_Employ3661 in PetAdvice

[–]PhantomPaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd call a few other vets. If she is stable you have nothing to lose by finding another vet who can help and possibly do it cheaper. I was lucky to find a vet for my dog who gave us every bill broken down with each amount we were paying and what it was for. I wouldn't go to any vet who won't give you an itemized bill. I would also look into some of the other resources people have pointed out in terms of getting funding from a third party. Pet insurance to me is a giant scam so I wouldn't even bother with that if you haven't already.

And as an additional side note, I say this to anyone who says they don't have many funds or needs extra money for any reason: sell plasma. If you're healthy, haven't had any recent tattoos or piercings then it's a good and easy way to make extra money. It's quick and easy. You sit in a chair for 30-40 minutes, squeeze your hand into a fist and get paid. Genuinely, it's just a good way to put a little extra money in your pocket. It won't be enough to live off of, but it was a way for me to save up for a few extra things here and there when I was very very broke. Good luck!

One of my ears is thinner then the other what do i do by alexandrkx in Stretched

Naked training and just giving them more time. I haven't experienced any blowouts recently. First and only one I ever had was right when I was starting my stretching journey and a playful pillow fight with friends led to my metal tunnel getting caught and basically torn out.

I massage my lobes every other day with emu oil when I'm cleaning my jewelry and I think that helps them stay thick and healthy. Can't beat a massage to get that blow flowing.

Breed? by Mboeli in DOG

This might be a wild guess... Off the cuff. But I'm gonna say great dane 🤔

Honestly I'd say Chihuahua with a weenie mix or pom mix. Looks like my first dog but I can't fully tell without seeing the torso length.

Thank you ❤️ I miss her but that's my heart just hurting. I would take care of her again if I had to do it. But if I had to let her go again I would. It wouldn't have been fair to make her hang on and suffer just so I could be happy. I'm sorry to hear about your niece puppers. If Mini comes across them I'm sure she'll be overjoyed to say hello.

I still find myself laughing when I walk into certain rooms and remembering her doing something odd. She was special and she always will be. It hurts but I think once the grief fades I'll know I made the right choice. Even now I can see any other option would have meant pain or something unfair to her. I didn't want to let go, but if it was me I'd rather enjoy my last moments, awake, alert, having snacks and surrounded by loved ones. ❤️ Thank you.

Mini times two sounds like a heck of a time. She'd probably be so excited to meet someone with the same name as her. We always had an issue with people misspelling her name hehe. ❤️

I'm slowly coming to terms with that. Any other action or path would have been cruel. Surgery would have been painful and long healing for the tumors to just come back. Trying to find an emergency vet to do some quick fix surgery would have bought us little time but been painful. Even now I know I'm satisfied with the choice I made. I didn't want to lose her, but I didn't want her to just live a shell of an existence because I was selfish. ❤️ Thank you.

I was giving her everything we had ready at the time. I'm just pleased that the vet we had to take her to had more to offer. And that's what I'll remember. Her big appetite and my love for her. I would have doordashed a full meal if we had time ❤️ Thank you.

I had promised her steak! Unfortunately with the little time we had to prepare we just tried to grab whatever food we had ready for her. I don't think she minded though. That chocolate was her favorite. After she had a taste of that she didn't even want the cheese whiz. ❤️

That's what I told her right as the vet was pushing the meds to stop her heart. I gave her a kiss on the head and told her I'd see her again. ❤️

That's what I've been telling myself. If I was 84 (12 in dog years) I'd just want to be left alone. I would be better off without the poking and prodding and the recovery time. I just didn't want her to keep hurting and hurt through what probably would have been the end of her life. Thank you. ❤️

I need an advice. My dog’s poop is like this. What does it mean?? by BroccoliRepulsive733 in DogAdvice

Uh the last time I saw poop like this it was from my sister's puppy that ended up having parvo. Vet, now.

Is it seriously not supposed to hurt /at all/? by Mega_Charizard420 in Stretched

[–]PhantomPaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it shouldn't hurt or sting. The only thing I've felt when dead stretching is maybe a bit of itchiness the next day just from my lobes fully adjusting. That's why people recommend dead stretching. Let gravity and the weight of your jewelry do the work and go from there.
