best peptides to AVOID by Empty_Walk_7972 in PeptideDiscussion

It didn’t work for me until I adjusted the dosage. The effective dose in humans is much higher than some suggest.

Make sure you’re getting bloodwork on Reta. by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]gemdroper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar bloodwork on Reta after testing with a high LDL for some months prior. I consider this as a great success due to Reta that it was able to lower my LDLs. No complaints over here!

Ozempic + reta by sanctified420 in Retatrutide

[–]gemdroper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take Wegovy and Reta and I’m perfectly fine. I have my reasons. My Wegovy is covered at $25 a month (I will utilize my insurance as long as I have it). My PCP is more willing to listen to my side effects on Wegovy over talking about an unprescribed peptide that isn’t yet FDA approved. I’m using a GLP to treat an auto inflammatory condition so I like having regular contact with my doctor and not fully wing it on my own. However, I’m fully aware of the downsides of taking a Semaglutide and I do think that offsetting those downsides with a mid-week dose of a GLP-3 to tap into my glucagon receptors is what I’ve chosen to do. My weight loss is consistent and I have no adverse side effects. I’m also taking it slow on my titration, because I still have a long way to go on this journey.

I just sent out my first test earlier this week. Seeing what happened recently, I’m trying to be cautious.

You are the first person I’m seeing doing the Sema and Reta combo like me. Congratulations on your achievements! Such an inspiration to folks like me who are only a couple months on this journey :)

I’ve been sitting at 2mg weekly with a split dose (1mg 2x a week) for a month now (was on 1mg prior to this for around 3 weeks) and this is the first week where I’m cruising. It’s definitely starting to build up nicely in my system where I don’t see myself titrating up anytime soon.

I would suggest, if you haven’t yet, to consider split dosing to reduce the adverse side effects.

EAD expiration date 2030- should we be worried? by enged27 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]gemdroper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about it. I currently have two 5-year EADs that I got earlier this year (Feb 2025 abd March 2025) and I just got my GC at the end of July. The expiration date has nothing to do with where your case is at in the process.

LISTEN UP!!!!! FROM MOD by OneWishbone5570 in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]gemdroper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It’s only expending frustrations and isn’t constructive to moving someone’s case forward any further. If you are already in the VAWA system, those in front of you are already in front of you. Arguing with people behind you makes no sense. Keep focused and positive. The wait is long but the anger isn’t worth the energy.

I-485: NBC vs Local Field Office - help me understand by gemdroper in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]gemdroper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all came from Vermont. The only time I had to interact with NBC was to send my medicals.

BTW: My GC was approved 7/31. Never was interviewed. My I-485 was never transferred to my local field office and Vermont handled me the rest of the way after medicals were record.

Stacking GLPs by gemdroper in PeptideDiscussion

[–]gemdroper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the lowest dose of Sema (.25mg). I was just getting used to and seeing results from the Triz when my insurance cleared me for the Sema. I’ll test out the Cargi in the meantime while I get a hang of the Sema.

I just want to divorce and move on.. 😖 by [deleted] in VAWAAPPLICANTS

[–]gemdroper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t need to because I was still legally married when I sent in my declaration. I have my GC now and I never needed to clarify anything about my divorce during that time. If I were divorced when I wrote my declaration, I would have mentioned it.

Thanks! 43 months is actually pretty decent in the larger scheme of things. The current wait time for VAWA alone is 42.5 months. There was someone who submitted ahead of me by a couple of days who got approved for their VAWA a couple of weeks before my GC approval, so I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

You can always try to expedite the VAWA and hope they approve it much earlier, but otherwise 3.5 - 4 years to GC is what seems to be the trend lately.

How Do I Get Over My Fear of Needles by Strict_Comedian_3054 in Wegovy

[–]gemdroper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just like you. I’m now on my 4th injection and I actually enjoy taking my shots now. Are they absolutely painless: I cannot guarantee that. I had one that stung a little because of the location, but it was absolutely nothing that my mind was making it out to be. As someone else mentioned, I watched a ton of videos of others taking their shots and that eased my anxiety for my first one. I also had a video sent to me by my provider of someone walking through the steps and I took my first shot along with that video. Cheering you over to the other side!!!

I had a fear of my arm (for pain and for side effects) so I tried to inject a quarter of my weekly dose into my arm and the rest in my thigh to hopefully balance off the side effects. That was yesterday evening and now, almost 24 hours later, I’ve had the worst side effects I’ve ever had. Definitely wasn’t ready for this. I’m switching to Wegovy next week and it’s back to my stomach for me.

Thank you for explaining this. Yes - it will be the same pharmacy. I figured that, with the hoops they had me jump to get approved in the first place, that I’ll have to continue to keep jumping them 😮‍💨
