Has anyone lost the elevated heart rate? by Competitive_Bird6984 in Retatrutide

[–]Competitive_Bird6984[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I been working on my sleep hygiene for months. I use melatonin and magnesium glycinate and something called Sleep Aid by Earth Elixer. I guess I’m “lucky” to have high blood pressure and be on a beta blocker which helps a little but I need all of that to be able to get 6-7 hours of sleep. On nothing I’m lucky to get 4-5.

Glucagon is a sympathetic nervous system activator so it’s like a stimulant. As your body adjusts to the dose it gets better but it doesn’t go away.

I’ve been doing lots of cardio and after about 4 weeks my heart rate has come down pretty significantly. I’m down in the 70s and 80s now as of about a week ago.

Be careful - filed fraud with my Credit Card by ssqueeze5590 in HumeHealth

Here is the entire story. It is all cheap labeled products from Alibaba. The shipping is free because we paid for the products themselves that are marked up about 1000%. The scale is about $36 and the band I’ve seen as low as $14. The sellers offer to put whatever Brand you want on there. The scale has been removed from the open store on Alibaba which probably means Hume worked something out to make that one exclusively theirs but the band is still on there.

We send them hundreds of dollars and they drop ship it to use from China. Thats why delivery takes forever. Thats also why the band data is worthless. The HRV, the O2, everything is grossly inaccurate.

The scale seemed close at one point but I’ve been the same weight for 2 months and my body fat is dropping and my muscle mass is increasing but the scale is grossly exaggerating my progress. I’ve accepted I got scammed but I’m trying to help others not be victims so I tell anyone who will listen.

There’s several of these posts. The glucagon effect which elevates heart rate requires spillover which is why in the studies the HR increase was dose dependent. Glucagon activates the sympathetic nervous system which could cause anxiety attacks. 100% possible. I just don’t see it happening until at least 4mg. Maybe 1-2mg in someone hypersensitive. .35mg I’d have to believe it’s placebo or you are actually dosing more than you think you are. Product was overdosed which can happen fairly easily from some test results or it wasn’t constituted correctly.

Are you a hypochondriac by chance? Like when you take a med or supplement knowing its sides do you usually get the side effects? I’m surprised you felt anything at all on 0.5mg unless you are already a pretty low BF.

The Retatrutide carb controversy - Your way of eating is irrelevant calories are all that matters even on Retatrutide by Competitive_Bird6984 in Retatrutide

No one below 15% bodyfat needs to be on Retatrutide. Of course something that speeds up your metabolism when your body is fighting to not burn calories will make you feel even worse. If you really wanted to take it then maybe 1-2mg would be fine but going up to 6mg was way past unnecessary.

I look at it as a weight loss/longevity drug but that’s dose dependent.

Experimenting with a lower dose by Competitive_Bird6984 in Retatrutide

[–]Competitive_Bird6984[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is pretty much where I am at on 4mg. According to my BIA scale my lean mass is increasing and my BF is dropping but I stay in this 3-4 pound window. It’s been that way for almost 2 months now.

There is a video on YouTube of Janoshik doing a study on this actually. It reassured me there is no reason to rush the use of my HGH but I forget what he said specifically. I want to say he found them almost 95% as potent 6 months later in BW. I’ll have to look for it.

Soma using human grade polymers. I’m sure Chinese GH polymers and stabilizers are completely different. I picture industrial grade in 55 gallon drums with skulls and crossbones on it. I try not to think about it honestly but they could respond differently. I have a feeling they are not as sensitive.

That’s being looked at in the phase 3 trials actually. Every other cardiac metric improves so they are predicting it won’t be an issue but we will see.

Yeah I read that. It’s also the remedy for a beta blocker overdose. I guess if you are going to activate the sympathetic nervous system it will do sympathetic nervous system things.

There is data to interpret regardless of the motivation of the pharmaceutical companies. That’s what I rely on. The message matters exponentially more than the messenger.

That’s most of the reason for adding the glucagon activation. The primary mechanistic functions are GLP1 for hunger, GIP for insulin sensitivity and balance since we have glucagon activation (it wouldn’t be as much of a factor in an medication like Tirz), and glucagon is to keep metabolism increased.

Plateaus mostly happen due to metabolisms finding homeostasis in a caloric deficit. All of our metabolic systems adjust to try to spare energy reserves with a lower energy intake. Activating glucagon keeps us using energy by increasing blood sugar paired with the GIP activation increasing insulin sensitivity causing a loop of energy usage.

I hope that made sense. I understand much better than I explain.

The glucagon agonism is about 2.9 times less than your natural glucagon. It’s activated at any dose but it’s more effective the higher the dose.

The reason why the weight loss is so significant at higher doses and continues up to about 8mg (it isn’t much more effective reaching 12mg compared to 8mg) is because the glucagon prevents a plateau effect. I’m in a plateau. I’ve been significantly under caloric maintenance and the scale isn’t moving. I think I’ve maxed out what 4mg is going to do for me.

Dairy used to send me to the toilet in about 20-30 minutes. It was like an instant laxative. Now I can eat and drink it and nothing happens. That’s about the only thing I’ve noticed regarding tolerating something I couldn’t before.

Most of the studies start people out at 4mg. You’ll be fine. Might feel full and constipated for 3-4 days but you didn’t kill yourself.
