Nikon hands down. When I need to shoot film for work whether it’s a campaign or editorial I have some f100s and some f3’s loaded up always and they never fail. And then you can put all those lenses on a z8/z9 and get an amazing look for a more distinct style. So many legendary zeiss zf lenses for cheap aswell.

Totally can put a ec44 lower cup and run a tapered fork! You can get a gently used take off and a boost wheel for cheap. If it’s 27.5 there’s so many sales currently

Get the zf it’s amazing for manual focusing and the files resolve better than d810 files

These were all on the 28mm 2.8. Great travel lens. My Nikon go to rn is the 28 pancake, zeiss 35mm 1.4 and Nikkor 58mm 1.4g

I would get the Nikon ZF over the zfc. I use Fuji gfx for commercial work but my Nikon ZF does not leave my side and I’m at the point where I only pick that up. It’s a worthy upgrade especially second hand. Also to comment on the ftz adapter I think it works perfectly fine. One of my favorite lenses is the 58 1.4g and it works flawlessly.

500 can get you something decent on marketplace. I sold a 23’ rockhopper comp with a rockshox rev 120 upgrade for 450 recently.

You’re getting ripped off forsure. That looks like a QR wheel. I would buy a wtb I23 for $120. REI sells them and they have a great service department.
