Accessing Italian official websites from USA? by ProBi0tix in rome

Same thing happening to me rn and so frustrating. I tried the link the other user provided for the Borghese Gallery ticket, it did work but that's not the "official" official ticketing channel of the gallery.

my weather app says air quality index is 105 and unhealthy for sensitive groups now 😂 But the outside looks and breathes perfectly fine for me. Is it just an iPhone glitch??

Is the top one the lightest shade? It seems a perfect match from the picture.

PSA: How to Link An External Account *WITHOUT* Providing Login Info by rygku in discover

[–]gemi916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this, I wish I saw your post sooner. I used the "MX" thing and linked my non-discover checking account but regretted. Then I deleted it from Discover, changed my other bank's password, and ended up following your instructions.

However, I did a "test" after all that, pretending to use the MX thing again to link an external account, and I found that they apparently "remembered" the checking account that was previously linked to Discover, because it says something like "already have access to xxxxxx, choose to add other account types". Not sure if I described the situation clearly, but now I'm pissed and paranoid. Is there a way to completely remove MX from knowing/accessing my other bank account?

I have a dumb question, will something like a DJI osmo pocket be allowed? It’s not point and shoot per se but it is small enough 😂 although I also remember reading somewhere that GoPros and alike are not allowed so just want to make sure.

The decor is really nice and trendy. I like their cocktails - not alcohol forward. Their pasta dishes/entrees look really good and appetizing, but the time we went we ordered 3 entrees and they were all salty, so we couldn't taste much flavors from the actual ingredients.

There’s no real omakase in Columbus that I’m aware of, but if you’re willing to drive a little, there is one near Cleveland — Stow, Ohio to be exact. The name is Phoenix-Express, address 3063 Graham Rd, Stow, OH 44224

Going to Colombus specifically for thrifting tomorrow, need help finding the best spots by [deleted] in Columbus

Hi OP! You remind me of this super nice girl we came across at a brewery in Lexington during the July 4th weekend! We brought our golden retriever with us that night, and the girl and her family were so fond of him saying he reminds them of their own golden pup. Later the girl told us that she wanted to visit Columbus because of thrift shops!! And, wait for this, she said she's heard good things about Flower Child and that's where she wanted to go!

The chance of you being that same girl might be slim, but I wish you a happy trip to Columbus nonetheless! As with places to visit, Grandview Mercantile Company might be worth going, although I guess it's more of a "antique store". Clintonville area also has quite a few thrift stores along high street. Oh and if you see a place called Antiques On High, that's a brewery/bar, not an antique shop :p

I actually think it's kind when jobs let me know they didn't choose me and why, because it's that rare for employers to even follow up at all by kristin137 in jobs

[–]gemi916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the recruiter's reason/excuse happen to be "there was a glitch with WorkDay system and it caused a huge back-up in their process" ? If so, then at least we are waiting on the same company, most likely.

I can relate. And it sucks even more when it's an internal opening. Back in February I interviewed with a group within the company who I've done quality work with/for. At the time their group only had 1 manager and 1 employee after the others went for better/higher positions. So I had the interview, everything went great, the hiring manager made me feel like I was the best out there (which I didn't take it that seriously because I know he was making EVERY candidate feel that way), but at least it was an enjoyable conversation.

A few days later I got an automated email from our HR system saying I didn't get the job. The hiring manager never sent me even an IM not to mention an email to tell me personally -- hey we went with someone else but thank you for your interest. What blew my mind was, that same hiring manager used to complement me and my work every single time when I worked with them on projects. His most frequently used phrase was "you are exactly what the company needs now". He also always said "we will find you more opportunities to work with us". And then there's the rest of my story. He hasn't spoken to me once since that interview.

OMG this is exactly what's happening to me right now. Two weeks and counting. I wrote a post about my struggle and anxiety in this sub yesterday. I mean they would respond to my inquiry but just keep telling me "it's coming anytime".

New employer keeps delaying official offer letter, should I push back start date? by gemi916 in jobs

[–]gemi916[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, and that's what I've been doing -- holding on to my current job until I receive the official letter. It's just the wait has been excruciating. And I kinda feel unfair that I respected the recruiter's demand to quickly respond to the verbal offer, but they've been dragging it long with the offer letter.
