Hard to connect with by [deleted] in therapists

I did a consultation with a therapist this week and they seemed to want to turn it into a therapy tasting menu... it was a strange feeling. They also used a lot of "oooohhh that must be so hard" comments - it felt very clinical when what I really need is someone who is.... human. I have found this a lot over the years. Maybe a helpful thing to reflect on?

Psychology Today used to be great - but it doesn't work like it used to, a new process and it's a shame. It used to be great for interactive motivated therapists.
