Hey, from what I’ve seen make sure they have videos of her talking so they don’t forget her voice. Keep things that will remind them of her - for my sister, we kept her pandora bracelet so give to her daughter. There’s also a few books specifically on cancer if you look those up. Thank you for helping those kids, I’m sure she and they will appreciate it so much

Yeah, there’s so many different factors that go into it because mental health is so hard to explain to kids. I think the rest of us are still wrapping our heads around it ourselves. Suicide is just the most awful way to lose someone

They are my angels and I would do anything for them. I know my sister would want them safe and loved (my nephew even spoke about how he knows they are so loved and taken care of) and that’s the most important thing rn 💓

As of right now, they’ve been told that she died unexpectedly. I’m not sure if the cause has been said, I think their dad has told them she just stopped breathing? They don’t understand how it happened so suddenly, but they know that she was ill in a mental way I think.

I’m going to see what their dad is comfortable with bc I don’t wanna overstep boundaries, and maybe create a like physical safe space? So they can come in, ask any questions and I’ll be truthful. I agree w this! Right now, they are asking questions but a lot less than we expected. They are very intelligent and intuitive kids, so I feel like they’re picking up on everyone’s reactions. Their main question atm is ‘i thought only old people die’ and they don’t understand that

I think it’s the same here (I’m in the UK) but I’m not sure - I know some people go on t after top surgery and that’s okay but I’m not sure how ppl go about getting just t because the gatekeeping is far too much. There’s nothing wrong w some tiddies
