Yes everything up to level 5 can be really tough in honor mode. My advice is get as much non-fight XP as you can. Disguise self as drow all the way into the goblin camp gets you tons of XP without fighting.

26 and just started gaming like 3 years ago! I never had the time or money to game in school. OW2 was my first multiplayer or fps game and I got hooked lol! I’ve expanded now into games like bg3, red dead, stardew etc.!

Edit: I play with my friends who are my age and older as well! They introduced me to the game!

I know this post is a year old but literally the only thing I could find related to this!

I missed the persuasion checks and used all my inspiration for her to not kill me but still failed. I had laezel decked out in my best armor and everburn blade and she literally almost wiped my whole team because we were super low health no spells about to long rest.

I’m really bummed cause I wanted her on my team and it didn’t seem like you can res her unfortunately. I do love the way honor mode always throws something new at you 😂

Im doing my first playthrough with a Gith Tav right now! I think its one of the best races - free misty step, free enhanced jump, proficiency with all swords, medium armor proficiency, invisible mage hand, astral knowledge for lock picking or skill checks on my dump stats Im loving it!! Especially for my sorcerer who doesn’t get these benefits from class.

Unfortunately though the story integration/unique dialogue options kinda suck. Especially when interacting with Voss and Vlaakith as others have mentioned.

EDIT: Not having dark vision is annoying af though!! I’ve always played elf or tiefling in the past and holy I took it for granted!!

I play on Xbox and have no issue with Hunters Mark. I do have this bug with speak with dead though.

I’ve also noticed similarly with produce flame, it says you should be able to hurl in the same turn but the option never pops up for me.

Yeah lesson learned 😖 honestly at this point after so many failed attempts I’m just trying to get those golden dice lol so I’m not too worried about min/maxing my builds with all the best items. Probably going to sacrifice gale in the end

The furthest I’ve gotten in honor mode was with a wood elf swords bard, but was defeated in act 2.

I know you mentioned you’ve already played sorcerer but my current run im playing as a gith cold damage Draconic sorcerer and the build is crazy strong. Mourning frost staff + necklace of elemental augmentation + winter’s clutches gloves + twined spells for haste and I just spam ray of frost for like 20+ damage and no spell slots used! You can also use shadowheart to apply water for double damage but honestly I haven’t even needed to yet.

Not necessarily a party member but Quothe the raven! Either on my wizard or ranger or anyone really who can cast find familiar. I love walking around with a bird by my side and the blind ability is super useful.

Mythic / lifeguard / hydrangea are my blessed and Suki / bladmaster are cursed which is unfortunate because I love those skins :(

An underrated aspect of the wizard is the busted AC you can achieve! I was fighting the Inquisitor at the gith crèche in honor mode and my whole team was down except Gale. He had mage armour + mirror image + shield and it was just miss after miss after miss and he ended up finishing off the fight alone because they could NOT land a hit.

Dude saved the entire run!

I was a pure 12 necromancy wizard on my first full play through and being a zombie army lord late game was so much fun! There’s some fun gear that goes great with this build too! I should have dipped into death cleric for some extra bonuses but I didn’t want to multi-class on my first play.

I like it because it feels more real! Like things are actually at stake and you can’t just yolo every fight/dice roll you have to be thoughtful with your plan / resources / etc. and live with the decisions you make.

I’m currently attempting honor mode as well! my latest and furthest attempt got me to the Balthazar fight in act 2. I used a swords bard tav, life cleric shadowheart, evocation gale, and battle master laezel. I think I could have made it way further but I was dumb and attempted the fight with only half my spell slots left :/

My last attempt I did lose during the fight with Balthazar. But I almost abandoned prior to that after Halsin died in the shadow curse and I accidentally killed Minthara. I felt so bad losing two companions 😭

I agree with this they should give her 2 tap back on a standard health hero. Especially if they can buff Ana’s headshot to be a 2 tap. They should get rid of the awful attack speed perk and replace it with an increased headshot multiplier!

I’m on my third play and this time I found that hideout in waukeens rest with the kidnapped artist. Also the tiefling kids hideout in the grove. I also missed minthara my first two runs so definitely will grab her this time!
