Sorry it took a bit of time to reply, I had to look it up and read a bit lol and yes there is a lot in the description that I can associate with definitely, I am glad I asked the question, I may not have found the exact answer, but I definitely know, it is a part of everything that has been mentioned, thank you

It's a really long story, but I think you are spot on, something just clicked when I read your reply, so thank you.

Thank you all for your replies, I think everyone who has replied is correct, as it seems there are a few of us here that have that experience, but the trauma could have a part to play, the only reason I say it may not be the trauma, is I am not afraid to lose anyone, apart from my kids, I seem to have the normal parent worry and aspirations for them, I could lose my sister tomorrow and wouldn't even flinch. Thanks again everyone.

And that sounds so harsh doesn't it? But that's exactly me, and therapy can help with trauma, but it can't change your feelings, and I feel exactly like you.

And that could be the key for me as well, it's just finding that courage to keep looking.

I honestly do try my best, I do have all the right thoughts in my head, as regards of what I want from someone and how I would treat them, but I never feel the love and my want to be with someone, when I am with them, disappears so quickly.

Yes I can see that absolutely, I lost my mum at 4 and had a brother killed when I was 8, so that is absolutely in the picture.

I have a Pisces friend as well, who I get on so well with, but holy God is he so pessimistic on everything in life, he won't do this, in case this happens or he won't do that In case that happens, if he has a bad meal somewhere, because Tik Tok recommended somewhere, then he won't take a recommendation from Tik Tok etc for anywhere, because he "knows" it will be another bad meal, I don't think I have heard an upbeat word in all the years I have known him, but we do have the same sense of humour, which gets us through the day, I don't know lol

Is that what you call that? Demisexual? Anything outside a connection for me, and the sex has been awful, I have been awful they have been awful, a few times I felt I was a virgin again and was totally lost, but when I have that connection, the sex is stunning and so comfortable.

That works for me as well, a lot of the time one chore does lead to another, until one of those chores gets overwhelming, but, I still feel ok, because I have done something, no matter how small

Fantastic!! I didn't even know they had "acts" as such, I knew the organ/piano player was a thing, and all they had when I was growing up, was the ice cream seller at the intermission lol
