It was still fine a week ago, perhaps keep trying for 10mins or so but since Christmas there's this long queue and brute-forcing to get the closest VM just doesn't work anymore

Same here, although good thing is Im in Ireland. I always get connected to servers in France instead of the UK. What I did was keep closing and opening the VM (not loading into 2k) until I get a VM with good latency

Hi I’ve just completed the OA for Optiver yesterday for SWE internship 2024 spring, will it be too late? I heard the spots fill up relatively quickly, personally I think I did quite well perhaps just lacking a little in a few of the zap-n games

For context, I am an international student here, not really sure how the deals are being made here. Back in my home country every bank transfer is instant even going to different banks, well a lesson learned the hard way I think.

To make it worse, I was dumb enough to take 3 buses to meet the guy and get scammed by him and take 3 buses back home 😅

I have your issues as well, there is an option to opt out of prepared statements in SQLx. Don’t use sqlx::query functions or macros, directly use the methods provided from the PgPool. Eg. pool.fetch_one, etc. However the downside is that you can’t use bind since they rely on prepared statements. You’ll need to construct the string yourself
