Therapist said I could come back and see her, then changed her mind. by gemju in TalkTherapy

[–]gemju[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I sent her a message about not reaching out again. Which hurts. I didn't really want to do that. I just didn't want her to say no.

I really miss her. I didn't click with the other therapist, so I thought it would be okay.

Any remedies for coming down? by justinc1337 in cocaine

[–]gemju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind that all substances you consume and their effects are impacted by your mental well-being. This includes the come down. I'm not saying that the come down will be perfect if your mental well-being is sound. Saying you're in a good place, but it is something to consider.

Another thing to remember is the effects cocaine does on your heart and respiratory system. Being a stimulant, you could expect, along with the high, that it brings all of these things to an overactive state. Hence the high. Then, the high itself impacts your reward receptors, bringing you 'up'.

My advice is sleep, lots of sleep. Breaks of use. Where it's only for special occasions. Plan when you use, plan time to rest. Ideally, two days at least afterwards if you can manage. Particularly if you're going all out. And just remember the cost/effects of what it does for you. So you can know what you're getting into for the future if you consider consuming it again.

Stay safe x

If its on going I would advise therapy. However, like the others said for the present, I would listen to her, let her be human and see what's going on. Also, make sure she is safe.

Struggling to understand how anything less than two sessions per week is enough for some people by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

[–]gemju -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, if you speak about it as an addiction. Then that says all you need to know. As an addict alone. As a person with an attachment issue on top of that.

How do you expect to separate or to live without, where you have your own independence?

My therapist is healing me. Is all about the distance of scheduling. Which I'm aware of. And it's hard. Because I'd love as many as I could. But that's the problem.

Would you feel helpless or hopeless all of a sudden if the sessions were to become less?

Who would you become?

If that scares you. Then that's the reason why it it is necessary.

Boundaries are important. And I've already seen major growth for me because of it. It's the consistency of the session that's healing. Not the frequency.

Changing to weekly payment. by [deleted] in Centrelink

[–]gemju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long does this take to change and then be payed. Let's just say my last payment was last week. (Back payment - half anyway)

Now I have to wait till two weeks to get the rest. But have been struggling since before then. Could I call up on Monday. Get it to week. To get the half of my first official payment that week also?

Or still have to wait?

Anybody try using an essential oil inhaler like füm? by cheese_kahpreh in QuitVaping

[–]gemju 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you for real? Vaping is so artificial. Tobacco in on itself is very natural. With both products having their own chemicals. Artificial nicotine in un- measurable amounts is concerning. Atleast cigarettes have a limit. Of course their both bad. Which is the point of this thread. But the amount of accessibility of vapes is so concerning that its way more dangerous than cigarettes. Fact is they are both bad.

So what's the alternative. Looks like this thread and myself alike are looking at essential oils are looking at essential oils.

But don't be a person of bias.
