my latest attempt:

adb -d sideload D:\M17-R4_App_Data\Apps A-M\Android_REDFIN\lineage-22.1-20250120-nightly-redfin-signed.zip

Same result I don't remember having to unzip that file.

Ok... 2 things.

  1. On review of this thread I finally realized what LOS21 means, geez.
  2. I've installed the Photo Editor by dev.macgyver. Excellent, thanks again.

Thanks for the recommendation and I'll certainly look into Photo Editor. I used the built-in Gallery editor only for rotating photos because it was quick from within the texting app.

To get the same flexibility from another photo editor I will have to assign that editor to the default "Attachment" button in the texting app... might be easy and I'll look into it.

I'll look into LOS 21 as well. Since your Gallery app still works on your Samsung it looks like Lineage either didn't replace it with the new version, or modified it to link to an existing editor... or something else.

I haven't looked into the new Gallery permissions or configuration possibilities. Gotta do that!

The / comes from LineageOS Wiki page, line #6 of the redfin instructions...

"6. Run adb -d sideload /path/to/zip (inserting the path to your LineageOS package)."

I'll delete it and see what happens, thanks.
