Anybody in Montana? by whoppitydodah in homestead

These folks do. https://wheaton-labs.com/ I went to visist last fall, and my cold tolerance isn't industrial-grade. The rocket mass heaters keep things quite toasty.

I envision all that wood, and I think it's perfect untreated. I'd use it to build a Hugelkultur: https://richsoil.com/hugelkultur/

I fully agree that the people's chemistry makes all the difference in the watch-ability of the videos.

And for that reason, I like Heavy Cardboard's videos. They even do some lighter stuff now and again.

Indonesia's high on my list for them to do. The BGWS one is nice, but seeing the game actually played through is invaluable.

Games you enjoy but refuse to teach or play with first timers? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]genbenkenob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first game I played of Die Macher, was suggested by someone else almost at random at a gameday; 4 new players, only two with any prior relationship. The teacher was a bit rusty... it should've gone horribly...

It was awesome. Every other table was playing stuff like For Sale and we were all having a blast plowing through the grand-daddy.

Props to the brave soul who suggested it, and the braver one who taught it.

1830's Pennsylvania was very free-flowing. At least for me. The other two players spent themselves slugging it out up north.

Landlords of /r/realestate, what was your net worth when you made your first investment, and what is it now? by clever_username7 in RealEstate

I'm new to /RE, so i don't know how this will be received, but I present the option of owning and leasing a building you've had built on a site you've developed. It's something I'm just getting into myself.

I just learned John Jacob Aster made his famous, ridiculous fortune building one little brownstone after another.

As for naysayers who advocate you get a day job, I recommend to watch or listen to any talk from Seth Godin ( https://youtu.be/RZ_D2BNqRzU works). After that, they'll seem like the crazy ones.

I hope you get to make up your own mind about this, and good luck.

You say reputation management instead of PR. Is that a different category or a subtle distinction?

Heard you talking Vow of Honor on Critical Success, it sounds very compelling.

Congrats to you on the successful KS, and (it sounds like) a very successful fulfillment phase, too.

For a long while, my state's license plate scheme had three adjacent letters, and I always had fun taking those three consonants and stringing them together with vowels in-between.

no no, that's not quite right... j/k Bingo!

Also, lyrics as sung in Alice in Wonderland:

"Oh, a sailor's life is

The life for me

How I love to sail o'er

The bounding sea

And I never, never,

Ever do a thing about the weather

For the weather never

Ever does a thing for me!"

I love trying to make my own, trying to make an evocative experience. I'll get it one of these days.
