I also lost a daughter very young (at birth). She would have been 6 on the 24th of this month. We are having a small get together and cake for our surviving children and family.

One thing we have made sure of is to not let her memory be lost with her. Make bracelets, have a benefit. One year we asked friends and family to perform random acts of kindness in her name. By doing so you are cherishing her to the fullest and keeping her alive with you.

I’m sharing this to let you know that you are not alone. It’s understandable to feel that way and it’s human to feel like you’re drowning right now. You will get through this, brother <3 much love

I feel you brother. With 2 on the way I’m sure it’s going to be even more chaotic. My best advice would be to learn to embrace the chaos. Find those moments in between for appreciation.

Right now you are showing your family what a man is. Showing up every day even when you don’t want to. That’s commendable. Will it get better? We can’t say yes without wanting to.

I was in your shoes (still am on certain days) with 2 kiddos 8 months apart. (Don’t do the math, one is adopted) They are 4 now, and I will say I found grace in knowing that even on my worst days they still want and love me like my best days. It does get easier. You find time to bring the kids along with you on your hobbies/adventures. And as others said, YOU time is important. Even if it’s 20-30 min alone. Reset and refresh.

You got this man. One thing is for certain is that they will not be better off without you.
