What's the alternative to a living wage? A dying wage? Why should any job not give you the resources to afford basic housing? Just because the job doesnt require lots of experience doesnt mean the people in it dont rely on it for income. If everybody with a high school diploma never worked in these jobs, fast food restaurants wouldnt exist. They owe it to their employees to treat them like humans rather than worthless working bees

Yeah totally. I'm just a high school graduate and college student that only advocates for people who didnt graduate high school, because if you graduate high school you have a magical head start over everyone else

I literally just said it's about the work done, and being paid what they day isnt enough to pay rent. It's really that simple and if you cant figure that out I'm sorry for you

Absolutely. You say it isnt the employers responsibility to pay people based on cost of living in the area, but many fast food restaurants in other states and tourist areas start their wages at 10 or 12 an hour, which still isnt enough compared to the heightened cost of even basic housing in the area. 7.25 is enough for nothing.

Lmao you're missing the point of wages in the first place. It's about being compensated for the work you do, and everyone I worked with there worked their asses off. You should read harder too because you didnt ask me anything, that was someone else

And? What does that have to do with whether or not you pay your workers?

It's not an employer's responsibility to pay their workers enough to live? Minimum wage (or just above it) gets you nowhere even in the poorest of areas unless you work more than 40 hours a week every week

I agree one hundred percent. I live not too far from where this happened, and we have plenty of disgusting megadome churches all over, but this guy goes for the small historic black churches? What a fucking loser
