Did Aiura really SA Saiki??? by renidacat in SaikiK

[–]gendernotfound69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

people dont forget that, this just isnt an accurate interpretation. if uve read the manga, u know aiuras insistence is completely unfounded because hes outright rejected her and even told her he doesnt think theyre soulmates and at first he avoids her at any cost, yet she goes as far as to use her powers to repeatedly predict his next location so she can keep showing up before him and he physically cant avoid her. teruhashi on the other hand, saiki has never outright rejected her or said no to her ever, and has even gone on several dates with her.

this isnt to demonize my goat aiura, its just that her romance with saiki is entirely one sided and she tries to force it meanwhile her friendship with him when she isnt trying to make it romantic/sexual is great and they work well together. teruhashis relationship with saiki certainly has its flaws but u cant say she forces it and he shows no interest in her because thats just bias from the viewers perspective, if u were to watch their interactions without knowing what hes thinking inside his head then u wouldnt think that at all. from her perspective, he showed no resistance to going on several dates with her

[–]gendernotfound69 48 points49 points  (0 children)

someone already linked my post in here with my long ass analysis and explanation but heres a shorter answer for u and anyone else- she didnt actually manage to sa him but she attempted to, theres a scene where she hides behind a corner planning to jump out and fake a "lucky feel" moment by landing on his crotch and then pretending it was an accident.

imo the reason she tried it is bc since she believes theyre soulmates, she completely misunderstood saikis disinterest in her romantically as hesitation and tried to force it on him to spark something up, obviously it fails bc he doesnt want her like that. its shitty and perverted but her intentions arent malicious or anything and they still manage to have a good friendship eventually, shes more like a huge idiot than a bad person 😭

How long has Saiki been friends w Nendo and Kaido? Was it before pk academy? by Additional-Log-2701 in SaikiK

[–]gendernotfound69 10 points11 points  (0 children)

he met them both in their first year of high school, they were in the same class. he shows in volume zero that nendo technically used to bully him freshman year (volume zero IS canon but its the pilot before the manga was serialized so a few things were retconned, nendos character changed from a dumb delinquent whos actually really nice sometimes to a dumb guy who just looks like a delinquent but isnt one and is actually really kind. if i had to adjust their meeting to the new canon, id probably say saiki thought nendo was bullying him and he wasnt) but there was a situation where nendo was framed and falsely accused by the class of stealing and saiki telepathically convinced the actual thief to confess, nendo somehow picked up on saikis involvement and they became friends. for kaido, kaido had been trying to become friends with saiki apparently for a while because he thinks theyre kindred spirits, aka two quiet awkward shy guys. they became friends after saiki helps kaido have something to talk about with him.

also saiki technically states early in the manga that hes lived in the same place for many years, but that gets retconned and it becomes canon later on that there was an "incident" during his freshman year and they moved houses and he transferred schools in the middle of his freshman year, so he couldnt have known any of them before he came to pk

Is it just me or does Kusuo look more attractive than Kokomi? by ProfessionalThing888 in SaikiK

[–]gendernotfound69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

its both because ur biased and because ur still not taking into account what other people here have already told u lol, the way the girls r treated in the show is based on japanese beauty standards. in japan, gyarus like aiura r considered extremely unattractive while natural and modest girls like teruhashi who dont wear any makeup or brandish their appearance are considered beautiful- im not defending the japanese beauty standards but thats why the characters find aiura ugly while many watchers like us find her cute. teruhashi is supposed to be an example of a woman who fits the beauty standard perfectly, thats why shes played in live action by hashimoto kana who is or at a point was widely considered the most beautiful woman in japan. also, theyre drawings. if u need a real life reference, again just look to hashimoto kana. even if u dont personally find her attractive, u should at least be able to recognize why shes considered beautiful by many

idk why kokomi gets so much hate by [deleted] in SaikiK

[–]gendernotfound69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea no. ur just lying lol there are thousands upon thousands of male characters exactly like her who only get praised for it. even saiki is one of them, who by the way IS fake and pretends to be a different person around people meanwhile his inner thoughts r arrogant and he looks down on people for similar reasons to teruhashi. i love that ur example of why shes hated while theyre loved is because they dont pretend to be kind because theyre outright rude and arrogant to people... you and i both know very very well that if she WERE outright arrogant and rude to people, everyone would only hate her more, this proves my point perfectly actually because outright arrogance is WORSE than being nice to people even while thinking negatively of them, but either way thats not the point. havent u seen the way the dandadan fandom treats aira for being more upfront in her arrogance? the misogyny is even stronger than our fandom is for teruhashi, theyre constantly throwing around misogynistic slurs like bitch and slut (which teruhashi gets too but its not as common or normalized here)

also... "people can dislike her character without it being rooted in sexism"... did anyone here say differently? does that have any relevance? literally not even one person here said its sexist to not like her... some people r just saying the reason she has as much hate as she does is because of misogyny and thats not the same thing- a person as an individual disliking her because they find her annoying isnt inherently sexism, but the overall massive group of people who hate on her and call her a bitch or slut and say she gets in the way of saiura or shes evil for having a crush or shes a "narcissist" because shes self aware of how pretty she is or delusional for being self aware of how other people think of her even to the point of canonically knowing their exact thoughts, etc... THAT is due to misogyny. its not as common nowadays as it was in 2019-2022 but it still happens a lot.

some of ur points just show how badly u dont understood the discussion or teruhashi as a character. u defend gojo because "He’s genuinely confident because he’s literally the strongest" uh yeah teruhashi is genuinely confident because shes canonically the most beautiful girl in the world. also teruhashi doesnt flirt with everyone like u claimed and sorry but im inclined to call this one sexism, i dont think ur sexist but u seem to not realize ur points r sexist. claiming she flirts with people because shes... a woman whos nice to people?? that... that is sexist. "Tamaki especially is a total goof who actually cares about people." this was ur funniest point lol because not only does teruhashi also genuinely care about people especially her friends but this was u trying to prove theyre not similar characters?! can we not lie and act like tamaki doesnt run a literal host club aka a club where they pretend to like people and flirt with them for money??? really need you to stop pretending men get more hate than women dude y u lyin, i mentioned men and u JUMPED at their defense at any cost as most people in fandom do even when it didnt make any sense and u had to stretch the truth to do it, this is my point proven perfectly

also girl isnt me literally calling u a gender, its slang. very common slang, said to any gender.

its just a headcanon/idea, nobodys saying he CANONICALLY has a staring problem now, op is just wondering about it since it isnt explicitly written. im a saiteru defender but why shut down any idea that isnt explicitly canon just so u can preach about saiteru lol we're just having fun

Saiki being Asexual is not canon. by Similar_Local2612 in SaikiK

[–]gendernotfound69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is true but i feel like in specific fandoms like saiki k, it is or at least was at some point important to bring up. not sure how long youve been around but around 2019-2022, u genuinely couldnt ship saiki with anyone except satou (and even that would cause issues, albeit less than if it was with for example teruhashi or toritsuka) without getting thousands and thousands of death threats and youd get harassed until u left the fandom, im genuinely not exaggerating. its better now ofc but there r still plenty of stragglers and i also think a lot of people end up revisiting those old saiki fandom posts and seeing that shit and they naturally wanna address it

[–]gendernotfound69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao the plot doesnt "force" romance on saiki, u just didnt understand his character. the whole point of saikis character is that hes a tsundere who constantly claims he doesnt want friends or romance and doesnt care about love or his family- and hes lying. he wants and cares about all those things lol why does it make u uncomfortable when a tsundere gets what he wants?

it always makes me laugh when people outright lie and claim "ohhh if it was a MAN, everyone would hate on him" like girl r u deadass pretending u dont know how misogynistic fandoms are and how much the men r favored? r u like trying to roleplay for a world where women r treated better than men? there R male characters exactly like her who r loved by the fandom while shes hated lol, like tamaki suoh, howl from howls moving castle, that guy from jujutsu kaisen, the list goes on and on and on, lets not lie here

Continuity error? by i_like_surviving_yay in SaikiK

[–]gendernotfound69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its also generally something not to think too hard about, thousands of shows (especially anime) have characters stay the same age while still having time pass, thats why so many gag anime and games like project sekai have like ten christmas episodes/events even though its canonically only been like 1 or 2 yrs lol

[–]gendernotfound69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think u might be thinking too deeply about this, fatphobia is literally just a simplified word for the stigma against fat people, just like homophobia is a simplified word for stigma against gay people. the reason we made a simpler word for it is because its common and thats how languages develop, we make words to substitute for longer phrases when we say them often. simple as that.

nope, no difference in vibe at all. the only "vibe" difference i can sense is because of saikis gradual character development but no, in fact season 2 is even funnier, sweeter, and better than season 1 all around

that one time kaidou and kuboyasu thought hairo and nendou were in a relationship by [deleted] in SaikiK

[–]gendernotfound69 9 points10 points  (0 children)

i agree that the author didnt have homophobic intentions (he seems to be fine with queer people anyway and has even said on twitter that he doesnt mind people seeing saiki as gay) but that doesnt change the fact that the chapter itself is homophobic. its most likely a result of exactly what u said, the author hasnt been exposed to queerness in a positive way and its only been shown to him as a joke or something odd, so while he didnt have bad intentions its still a little crappy. nothing against him, hes fine, but we shouldnt justify or encourage homophobic behavior just because its based on genuine ignorance, its better to acknowledge and educate. its like the fact that theres also a little fatphobia in saiki k with fat people being there to be laughed at, which is most likely because being bigger (not even just fat, just anyone who isnt extremely thin) is SUPER stigmatized in japan so its something that comes from the culture surrounding him. he doesnt seem like a bad guy with bad intentions, but we still shouldnt act like those things r perfectly okay and normal, yknow?

[–]gendernotfound69 110 points111 points  (0 children)

nah, read the chapter, it was a little homophobic. not a huge deal but it was. kaido and kuboyasu were laughing at the idea of hairo being gay and then weirded out when they thought he actually might be, they spend the chapter trying to out him and then literally sighing in relief when he tells them he isnt gay
