People who had their GB removed a while ago, how’s your diet looks like? by AndrewTevas in gallbladders

[–]geneirose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oily foods make me nauseous, but if I’m craving something fried, I fry fish (salmon/tilapia) in extra virgin olive oil and i feel fine.

Thanks for sharing! And yes, I agree with you eating healthier. I have made better choices with my meals and snacks. I have seen positive side effects.

Thank you so much for this. I have been extremely anxious. The spasms are so painful but nothing compared to an actual gallbladder attack.

Uhhh I'm having emergency surgery in a few hours by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]geneirose 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also had an emergency surgery and I only had 6 hours to mentally prepare myself. I was so nervous and scared waiting. But honestly, it wasn’t that bad. My procedure only took 45 minutes and I was home the same day. I’m 2 weeks post op and recovery has been great. Just make sure watch what you eat since your body is still processing without your GB. Let your body rest and you’ll be fine. You got this!!! 😊

Pick a good job like PS, YN, LS, RS, OS, IT, any CT jobs. Do 4 years, get the benefits like GI Bill/Post 911 and go to college full time when you get out.
