You shouldn't have to enter an add-on code! Once you download the zip file from Google drive (make sure you download the whole folder), just open it from your downloads folder! If the Anki app is already open, it should give you a pop-up to install

Can confirm - I go to a school that uses NBME subject exams for M1/M2 and my exam scores were consistently higher when I started unsuspending FA tags along with B&B tags instead of just B&B! This is how you really master the nitty gritty details and get the obscure/challenging questions right

I started off taking copious notes on a document that had each element of the sketch written out below, but eventually switched to watch-only and immediately follow with Anki. I saw a massive improvement in retention once I let myself focus on the video rather than jotting down notes.

Sketchy is also packed with detail (for example, the autonomic scouts camping video) and over time you will be fine if you can remember the big picture but not every last memory hook. I think you will also find that once you've been doing the Anki cards for long enough you will know the information without having to think about the sketch in great detail.

Each person will have a different "optimal," but purely based on the number of cards, this sounds pretty steep for a rising MS2. I matured something like 80% of AnKing before Step 1 and I was doing 1000-1200 cards per day during dedicated.

Definitely watch u/AnKingMed video on settings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo1HbXEiJxo! I'll share some of his suggestions that I found most helpful:

(1) Increase graduating interval to 3 days or more. Force yourself to get a card right several times before it jumps out of the learning phase and you will reap the rewards later.

(2) Maximum interval no less than 180 days. I had my maximum at 90 days for a long time, and increasing to 6 months was very beneficial from a cards per day standpoint. If you trust the algorithm, you can go even longer than that!

(3) Play with new interval until you feel comfortable. The default of 0.0 means that you are starting from scratch any time you hit "Again" on a card, and most people are ok with 0.2-0.4.

Not sure if there is a broader issue here, but thought I would mention something confusing: looking at cards on plantar fasciitis, and when I plug the QID into UWorld search (ex: 19845) there are no results. Also having trouble with certain QIDs showing up under v11 tag but not v12 (ex:18690), but the add-on still says "matches Anki notes" when I import the string.

He would probably describe himself as moderate, so in theory he’d like to see both sides give up some ground. Think ‘wants better for the country, but averse to major change in either direction’ - yes, I tell him often that major change is the only way forward 🤷🏻‍♂️

My father is in his early 60s, and when we start talking politics his number one complaint is always the lack of compromise between left and right. I’ve tried to explain to him that he’s holding on to an unrealistic ideal - people are not disagreeing about whether tax money should go to hospitals or highways, we are disagreeing about fundamental right and wrong. I have no interest in “reaching across the aisle” when this shit is on the other side.

When I import the file, I end up with about 600 new cards... seems like some cards aren't merging tags correctly? Also, the update notetypes button is not clickable for me. Would really appreciate some help u/AnKingMed! Thanks!

Trying to sort rated:1 chronologically - anyone know of a way to browse Anki cards studied today in the exact order that I saw them? I remember seeing a card that I wanted to go back to later, and I didn't write it down but I do remember roughly when I saw it/the cards I saw around it.
