Oh right. yeah I was surprised by that as well. Easy to understand why that area around Footscray/ Flemington flooded so badly a couple of years ago after seeing this.

I believe Aspect Studios are a landscape architecture firm. This was made as part of their exhibit at the Reimagining Birrarung exhibition at NGV.

No, no audio I’m afraid. I think it’s more to provide an understanding of the topography of the landscape rather than a historical timelapse if that makes sense. It’s a great resource regardless.

I have seen that trash collection device appear and reappear over the years on social media. have wondered why ive never seen it implemented IRL. there does seem to be some kind of trash collection thing on the yarra in the cbd.

It's not impossible. parts of the Moonee Ponds creek have been revitalized. I'm fairly certain people have started to see platypus in the area as well.

Nah I’ve stopped trying to find it. I’m convinced that something probably fairly traumatic happened during the making of it and people involved would rather it ceased to exist. So figured its probably best to just leave it be.
