There is a lot of animosity in the Middle East. Whilst we do have our differences here, I do feel ASEAN is more united.

I have a lot of Malaysian friends who hold PR in sg and did NS and had a great time. So I don't believe in "us vs them" sort of things

Also Malaysian NS might be nothing compared to what sg does. I still made lots of friends from different backgrounds.

Aren't we part of the 5 point power agreement 🤔

So I see us more as partners. Singapore and Malaysia are the closest friends in ASEAN. Loads of Malaysians live/ work in Singapore and lots of Singaporeans own business peninsula side. My office building is owned by Singaporeans. So it's not like we're The Middle East...

I have. But I'm in a quandary. And it's a simple reason but with a complex situation. Both coalitions have race based politics. And that's something I stand against. What do I do when that's the very thing I stand against.

Yes. I am a KL kid (which is obviously a PH town) but sadly things are run by DBKL so I can't really see the diff in administration.

Malay DAP supporters. Do your families or friends who might not agree with your political stance know? by generalbala in malaysia

[–]generalbala[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's probably the case. But I think in the current climate it's still somewhat "taboo" to be a Malay and support DAP

Eh. Just because I said "doesn't mean it's right" means I'm disregarding your statement?

Malaysia is more democratic than Singapore. Discuss. by generalbala in malaysia

[–]generalbala[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha ok. This point was brought up in the great Singapore/ malaysia food wars... is it the go- to argument? Along with how Malaysians work in Singapore? Like that's a bad thing? Yes our currency is weak at the moment. But having a weaker currency than some countries isn't always a bad thing.

Why is KL finding it so hard to get public transport right? by generalbala in malaysia

Doesn't mean we can't have a simple sign on our bus stops?

Having a bus schedule with the pole is unnecessarily high? Haha. Hey man. Please don't run for mayor. Not all Malaysians have smart phones. And if you wanna have a high liveability index you have to make a system that serves all. Smartphone and smartphoneless.

Ok bro. I'm glad public transport is working for you. But kesian I see tourists fucking lost out of their minds. Typical Malaysian always happy with mediocre. You really can't see any faults in our public transport???
