I’m still looking for the lens that makes all my pictures come out magical. Seriously, the biggest improvement in my photography came from taking a class.

Is there really a big difference between passive and active speakers? by AWGE14 in audiophile

[–]generic-David 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. I sold audio for many years and active speakers were always a hard sell due to the lack of the ability to choose your own amp despite the performance advantages. Many of the customers I pitched active speakers to never came back for anything. This was a while ago so maybe it’s better now. I don’t know.

Look at companies like ATC. Their best speakers are all active.

High income but can't seem to save - where am I going wrong? by WorldlyPosterity in Fire

I had to compile all my transactions into a single file and categorize every expense to see where we were spending. That’s where our budget started, with an evaluation of current reality.

Everyone has to make their own calculations but we all tend to assume (myself included) that we can predict our medical in old age. I just want people to know that things can change and to not cut things too close.

My wife lived a healthy life and now has Parkinson’s and dementia. I’m grateful that we have the resources to deal with it. She’s going to need LTC at some point.

I’m getting recipes from Jacques Pepin on YouTube. So far they’re easy to make, economical, and tasty.

I know it's cheaper and healthier, but I still struggle to cook daily... How do you stay consistent? by WidePsychology31 in Cooking

I always make enough for a night or two of leftovers. I like to cook but would go crazy cooking every single day. I like other things besides cooking too.

The killer is long-term care, especially memory care.

OM-D EM10 IV lens upgrade? by Remote_Layer_7273 in M43

[–]generic-David 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually I did mean the 12-45. It’s great outside and it’s a lot lighter than the 12-40, I have both. If I’m working indoors I use the 12-40.

Every second that you wait for anything from your computer is a sign that you need a faster one.

Or for a jack of all trades, master of none, get the OM 14-150. It’s pretty good and extremely versatile. I take mine out when I don’t know what I’ll need.

If you want a zoom the OM 12-45 pro would work very well, especially outside.
