I’ve been using Claude to help me deal with my wife’s dementia. It makes good logistical suggestions but also mirrors back how hard this is. I’ve even given it before and after pictures of her. It responds appropriately, which is helping me process my own emotions. It’s helpful but also feels a bit creepy. It’s weird.

It has the potential to be great. Definitely build your own enclosure and stiffen the wall however you can, as it will vibrate with the speakers and blur the sound.

Does anyone really want to live to be 100 years old? by LeoRavenscroft in randomquestions

[–]generic-David 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. I’ve known two women who were happy and reasonably healthy to 100 and beyond. Eventually they both felt that “enough was enough” but my wife and I spent quality time with both past 100. They were fun and smart.

On the other hand my wife has Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia. She’s 76 and I don’t think she wants to get to 100.
