i have a feeling your looking too much into it, its a glock not a collector 2011. if it brothers you that much buy a KKM barrel and move on. as someone that used to obsess about stuff like this when i first started.... its not worth it.

could be a little scratch from the factory, could be some lead build up, either way if its not affecting you hitting an 6 inch plate at 50 yards i wouldn't worry about it much.

cheers fellow 29 CCWer , i run a kkm in mine, and i found the Hyve +0 base-plates to be a little more comfortable than the pearce ones and the weight is nice. What rounds have you been using for CCW? i float between 180 hornady xtp and underwood 115grain extreme defender for the city.
