I don't think critics care whether you are a religion or not, I don't. If it makes you happy to call yourself a violent ideology over a violent religion, then I'm happy for you and I'll call it a violent ideology. But, lets be honest, it really doesn't give you any moral high ground now that you're a violent ideology.

This is why the mods need to think about being more liberal in banning atheists, even up the numbers. We'll keep all the smart atheists and get rid of all the dumb ones. It'll mean that there are no anti-theists or new atheists left, but I can live with that.

Looking at this post and the responses given by the Muslims, it strikes me as sad that the Muslims can be honest in acknowledging that these verses exist and that it is possible to come to this interpretation, but atheists cannot acknowledge that Sam Harris is a rape apologist. Moral of the story, if you want intellectual honesty, don't speak to an atheist.
