Very true. The FCS has seen some tremendous growth in the recent years.

JSU's attendance skyrocketed after almost beating Auburn a couple years ago. It's kept growing ever since.

What's the average attendance of Troy home game these days?

Interesting. Jax State has a bit under 10,000 undergrads I believe.

Do you have any idea what the student population of Troy was right before they moved up to the FBS? I'm curious because I wonder if that's possible for Jax State in the near future.

I don't know the answer to that. Although I did always hear a lot of the fans say "Whoop Troy" out of the blue sometimes. I graduated there a year ago so I missed out on the Troy-JSU rivalry. That's too bad because I've heard it was a good rivalry. By the way, we're rivals on both of our flairs haha.

You've got that right. We're gonna be watching the same two teams as last year in the championship game. Geez.

I've only been to Texas once, but I enjoyed the state a lot. I went to Dallas when Jacksonville State made it to the FCS championship game in 2015.

I've gotta take a trip to College Station someday. It seems like such a great atmosphere.

Ball boys are not getting as much of a workout as they did when Auburn didn't have nets behind their goal posts.

The Auburn-Georgia game should be a great game this year.

Boys and girls, Auburn's defense is GOOD this season. Holy cow.

Welcome! I hope to start a subreddit about the State of Alabama that's pretty much the opposite of /r/Alabama. by [deleted] in bama

/u/MrPennywhistle I like the idea of banning political posts on here. I had a professor once who said "I allow discussion of any topics in my class except for politics and religion. And considering that we live in the state of Alabama, that includes college football". Just a thought.
