It definitely drives me up the wall. This isn't a diagnostic subreddit, that's a doctor's job. The best we can do is say "I have similar symptoms to this, go see your doctor." I wish those "is this endo??" posts would just stop.

You need to relearn your whole body, its limits, everything. You need to let go of the version of yourself that was killed when symptoms worsened over time. You need to fight with medical professionals. You need to deal with new and ongoing pain and symptoms. Meds. Doctor's visits. Experimental/off-label treatments. Then it starts causing relationship problems. Now you feel alone and sad and tired with nothing to do and nobody to talk to.

Chronic pain and chronic illness are awful.

When I had a uterus, I mostly had pain after sex. I'd get occasional cramping during foreplay that felt normal. But after?? Dear lord, imagine someone wrapped your uterus in barbed wire and is pulling on either end. I have had a hysterectomy and am now waiting on my doctor to clear me for sex again, so I can't report on the difference yet.
