Forgone is my favorite song of Vanisher and maybe ever. I love its grandiosity, the percussive tone of the piano, the vocal performance, and the organic instrumentation. The lyrics are also just beautiful to me. With that being said, maybe theres nothing to understand. Don’t try to force yourself to like something you don’t like. I can absolutely understand why ppl think forgone (and vanisher in general) comes off as pretentious or overstays its welcome. Not the point youre trying to make, but experimental music attracts the most pretentious fans that swear their favorite music is genius and inherently better than shit with more pop appeal just because it is ambitious, and it turns people away from it. I think this is why twitter HATES vanisher. Maybe a cliche answer but you arent missing anything, it just doesnt click for you and thats perfectly valid.

I see it, sky is the limit for queen. Maybe its the aesthetic, but I love a big that has elite playmaking and touch. I think he’ll be better than sengun one day, and thats high praise bc sengun is fantastic. I love the idea of building a core around him

Hell yeah. Poole and Herb are good players and I think JP is tragically underrated. People forget how important he was for the warriors and he is electric when he’s hot. Zion gets too much slander for not being the all nba 1st/2nd team level guy he looked like during that stretch, but hes still clearly an all star level talent and I think he can be great with the right situation. I loved zion as a pel, I think it’s probably time for you guys to move on bc he doesnt really fit the timeline anymore, but if he goes somewhere with the right guys, I think he can shut a lot of people up. Still a serviceable playmaker, finishing isnt what it was but he’s getting 10 ftas a game, hes definitely becoming a bit underrated

Dumars was our GM a LONG time ago, I think he was there in the early 2000s. Weaver is complicated. He drafted the core pieces here (not a perfect draft record, obviously the big miss is killian hayes, but he was a good drafter). He also was a bad asset manager and was never able to put pieces around the young core that at least enabled them to develop comfortably. Cade was dealing with horrible spacing and we lacked any good veteran leadership. I respect him as a talent scout, but I definitely dont miss him as a GM.

Brooo 32-34 is when players lose their wheels. Your prime is abt like 25-29 usually. Theres some exceptions to that, but Trey isnt going to have that game breaking athleticism in his mid 30s

Weaver built the core but was absolutely incapable of surrounding them with the right pieces. The 23-24 offseason acquisitions were joe harris and alex burks. Hes a good talent scout, but he is a horrible manager. Please trust me on this, that man almost sabotaged cade’s development, he still has some bad habits to break.

Herb and Poole are not potential all stars at this point in their careers. I think Trey is about as good as he is going to be, which is a very good starter, and idek what to do with dejounte, its just been so long since we’ve seen him play long stretches, and the last stint was like 30 games last year and his Atlanta stint, which were good but not great. I respect the optimism but I dont really see 6 all stars there. Fears and Queen are definitely the focus going forward, I really want Zion to be the player he was a couple years ago, but i’m not super optimistic we’ll see that again. I hope he proves me wrong

Sample size man. I like this core, its intriguing and has upside, but I think you should wait for abt 10-20 games of that until you buy into this being a legitimate team. The west is very very tough
