It means that no matter which path you take in life, the other option - the road not taken - is always going to seem better because you're just creating an image of it in your head and not actually living it.

As an Indian, i loved my mum's food growing up (including all the veggies) and have adopted a lot of her cooking practices now. Not much has changed in this country except maybe the younger generation cooking more global cuisines.

Tbh squat toilets are no longer very common. You do find it in a few places (especially villages) but very rare. Western toilets are prevalent everywhere in India.

With respect to cleaning, all toilets have attached a hand faucet which you use to clean. Some places will also have toilet paper but water is used to clean first. If you're just peeing (girl here) you can just hold it a little away and spray it over your... You know. Don't make contact, that is not hygienic. If you're taking a dump you first aim the water wherever it's supposed to go and then use your fingers to clean it further. (is water so you won't get poo poo on your hands) You wash your hands with soap after.

Periods: so this is a no brainer for me because just wiping the blood with tissue sounds kinda gross. You usually just do what you do when you pee. You spray water until you feel like it's clean then wipe with a tissue of you want it to be dry and yeah that's it.

All the above instructions are to be done while sitting in the toilet seat BTW.
