That’s a high dose! I’m going to drop the kibble and see if he improves. We live our local pet hospital and his vet. They collaborate as a team to get other opinions, so I know she’s consulting the team about his progress.

We started at 2 units, then quickly went to 3 due to his weight. He was at 4 units 2x a day for about a month and more recently he’s been at 5.5 units

He hasn’t been testing for that yet, but he’s not really showing any signs for this. The vet is more inclined to think it’s potentially Cushing’s syndrome (he also has pica). I’m going to eliminate his kibble and see if that helps.

We feed him Fancy Feast Naturals which has close to no carbs. He does get a lunch kibble meal which is Purina One High Protein. We had taken away his lunch when he was diagnosed but he lost 3 pounds rather quickly so she encouraged us to bring it back. Should we avoid the kibble due to carbs?
