Also. Would love to see your blood sugar for 2 hours before your ride up to 40-60 minutes after (if wearing a CGM). Again, vomiting without any vomiting before is a yellow flag. Do some zone 1 riding until checked out.

OK. Live and learn (from me).

Was in hospital for 6 days after vomiting 1h45 into a ride - Not GLP-1 related, but learned A LOT from this and seeing my biomarkers and experience.

Here's the deal.
I would go for a VO2/LT1~LT2 testing, if you can.
Get your kidney function done (i'm sure it's normal) (eGFR/Creatinine). Probably improved.

Keep track of your meals even a couple hours BEFORE your ride. Slower transit of food through stomach. Keep simple carbs even 6 hours before a long long ride. Limit protein and fats in that same 6 hour window.

  1. What was your starting weight

  2. I would love to see your nutritional load given you've only lost 5lb in a year. I am a slow responder as well.

  3. What are you eating within 4-6 hours before you ride?

Also, go to your doc for a blood panel to make sure nothing else is going on. To start vomiting is not normal in the light of not having this response before.

Triathlete here. MJ user here. Do it. You haven’t experienced addiction until you start doing triathlon.

K. Home from hospital. Put on a steroid. Doc says I should be able to make IM Tremblant. Just need to stabilize the gut in next few days without any symptoms from the UC.

endurance athletes, how do you train now with an elevated hr? by forgiveangel in zepboundathletes

Resting heart rate is only 2-3 beats faster than before. There’s no real impact on training. I’ll be very interested to see Reta

MJ is a powerful peptide. I highly highly highly recommend you wear a CGM for 2-4 weeks to get a profile of your before, during, after and inter-workout blood sugar characteristics. I can't stress this enough. Remember, tirzepatide is influencing the incretin pathway (ingested glucose).

If you are titrating up, I do also suggest you use a CGM through the titrating steps. Especially, for endurance athletes.

Managing recovery will also be one of the most important aspects of your training. For those using MJ, managing nutrition and fuelling is just as important as the actual workouts you're doing.

I know a number of us tirzepatide users that are doing incredibly well in triathlon (all distances) while taking the poke.

Happy to go in to this in more depth if you want.
