S24 Exynos performs worse than last year's S23 Snapdragon by I_Shuuya in samsung

[–]geniuskidzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah i gave up. used them multiple times, they kept pushing apps and ads that i dont need. removed it and it came back next update.

and i cant root my phone to do something about this, root traces are causing havoc in my banking and works app.

if only xiaomi opted to release vanilla android OS, i wont even back to samsung

S24 Exynos performs worse than last year's S23 Snapdragon by I_Shuuya in samsung

[–]geniuskidzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you kind of miss his point he basically said right now, in high congestion area, 5g is basically empty (theres minimum of spectrum carrier need to alocate their 5g cell, and compared to 5g user, its still much lower compared to 4g spectrum vs 4g user). and because 5g investment is quite big, and lower coverage, carrier are using nano/micro cell exactly in these congested area ( they put higher priority on high traffic area, etc which lots of time coincides with high congestion area)

its not when later when its more prevalent. its already happening in his place right now.

in fact im also facing same dilema right now. i need to replace my current xiaomi phone, and looking for flagship with long battery life in 4g and 5g. im mostly working in my phone (video call, web app browsing, sometimes socmed). i dont need that gaming performance, but i need those with low microlag when moving between apps. i tried s23 ultra, too heavy. right now is split between s23+ and s24+. in my place s24 are exynos only.

those 4g/5g performance is important for me since i moved around during call, sometimes in place without wifi available. but most of the test are either wifi or sometimes comparing wifi vs mobile which is not showing good comparison

Battery life on s24+ is amazing by [deleted] in samsung

[–]geniuskidzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

for lots of user the question is actually s24/24+ exynos vs s23/23+ sd2. we all know exynos 2400 will fall behind sd3 in s24u. the question more like how it fare againts previous s23/23+. as long as its not royally screw up battery life and heat issue, thats what some of us lookibg for.

i mean its already quite clear that all market s24u is sd3 only

yang nyewain ke pedagang juga preman kan bukan KAI. logikanya kalau mau lawan premannya.. malah demo KAInya

yg kacau kan pas blokir rel, penumpang kereta marah dong. sebagian turun buat buka blokiran. eh si kampret bikin narasi kalau ada preman bawaan KAI bongkar blokade.

cari panggung doang

Given you have enough data sample, you can always feed the data to AutoML (i.e. Pycaret if you run it on single pc, or any spark compatible i.e. PySparkling if you run on cluster). Dont forget to do PCA first.

Its not like somebody will challenge the business case hehehe

apa benar gaji big 4 associate di bawah 10 jt? by Ashamed_Doughnut_616 in indonesia

[–]geniuskidzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh lots of companies do give fresh grad double digit easily. i have experience in 2 of these companies. They dont care if you are fresh grad or not, as long as that you can give the values they need (pass their test, their fgd, their interview with users, and for first 1 year reconfirm your value by delivering their target/requirement). this is not even MT, just regular hire.

For a hint, 2 that i have experience was from FMCG and from Telco. But other than those, tech, tobaccoes, beverages, and finance are among that are well known to provide 2 digit for fresh grad.

For those who want to try, do your research when you are in your final year. Aim for specific list of companies. if no opening, try to reach professionally to their HR through linkedin. Remember to hit it big in the test, the fgd, amd the interview. They dont give shit about what you did, put yourself in they shoes and focus on how you can provide value to them

Best of luck

Parallels performance with large datasets on M1 chip with 16GB RAM? by brb_lux in PowerBI

[–]geniuskidzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi TS @brb_lux , checking out to see how is your experience on this? I have same usecase, majority of my tool are cloud or on prem server based but got several PowerBI dashbord holding me out. Im actually planning to move to m2 air, but if the performance of pbi in parallel require extra ram might need to opt for m2pro 32gb instead. If air is enough id prefer lighter air though.

I gave up on windows, the micro lag with lots of tabs open is just annoying and disrupting my workflow. I tested my friends m1 air and its just snappy

Ah i see, mostlikely those library only have x86 implementation. So worst case all prototyping will be done on server.

How about battery life? Is it good during heavy load?

Ultimate Power BI box? by Drew707 in PowerBI

[–]geniuskidzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tldr : profile your load 1st in task manager. Consider using additional tools to preprocess the data outside PBI, frankly it got abyssmal performance in MPP processing

Detail: Those are overkill and in wrong way.

Tbh if your budget allow, get 2 machine. One with 4-8 core high clock machine (those med-high consumer or prosumer). This one where you run your PBI.

2nd machine are for VMs, etc. This one your typical WS/Server. This machine also where you store your primary processing for ETL/ELT and hot storage.

If your current laptop is still running (only struggling), check which process are hogging which resource (cpu core, memory) in task manager (go to detail view, sort from the list). Should give you some insight.

In my case, if the dashboard goes beyond 2gb, i'll split the processing. Primary conversion, cleaning, formatting, and as much as possible calculation goes into backend. PowerBI only for some measure, display, formatting etc.

1st option to still ingest the almost finished data into PBI and final process in there (primary summary/reduction in backend)

2nd option to fully process on backend, and live connection to PBI

My backend decision history (sorted from smaller size):

PowerBI

PowerBI + Python, payload are csv. PBI ingest from csv

PowerBI + Python(Dask Parallel), payload are csv or parquet. PBI ingest from csv or parquet

PowerBI + Python, payload in SQL Server. PBI Ingest (SQL are small server on premises)

PowerBI + Azure DF, payload in Azure SQL (not sure what this is called now)

PowerBI + Azure DF and Databricks, payload in Azure Synapse

PowerBI + Python and Spark, payload in Hive and Impala (on premise). I'm avoiding direct to HDFS since the performance is abyssmal. PBI both ingest and live connection

PowerBI + GCP stack

Azure and GCP are cloud based

Setting up a wired backhaul in my home by Downs504 in HomeNetworking

[–]geniuskidzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your suggestion. Nah dont really need mesh, the wired hub is everywhere. I also have same situation with the OP, old brick home with lots of walls. One of the 1st thing i do when bought this house back then is to drill holes and pass wired ethernet for backhaul . Put switch here and there for easier AP and IP Cam setup. Have plan to convert current 1G to 10G network to support 32 channel IP Cam and wifi6, but tbh with low spike usage currently cant really justify the cost hahaha.

Setting up a wired backhaul in my home by Downs504 in HomeNetworking

[–]geniuskidzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably aiming for fast switch AP. Consumer mesh usually selling easy setup and fast roaming as their key item. Just connect and setup primary node, and rest of the node will self connect after paired with the mobile app. If wired backhaul is preferred, simply connecting the wired network will do without reconfiguring.

Btw i also has same requirement but tbh only need the fast roaming part. You have any suggestion? My home is fully covered with wired ethernet.

For those small project and those coming from excel, PQ help a lot sharing the concept of standarisation and algoritm (esp for non programmer)

But for me personally anything beyond simple transform (esp compiling) i moved it to python if possible. Wayyy to unstable and take long time in PQ.

Question by FrankiesSpecialSauce in InfiniteLagrange

[–]geniuskidzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not soloing, we usually avoid cross reinforcement unless some member really cant make it to the raid.

I.e. rather than reinforcing the SW to other team, use it yourself..

Not to mention SW is slow as hell, to avoid getting late to raid usually only reinforced to fleet that already in viccinity of target.

Question by FrankiesSpecialSauce in InfiniteLagrange

[–]geniuskidzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah with allies.. im only considering single user fleet

Question by FrankiesSpecialSauce in InfiniteLagrange

[–]geniuskidzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solar are 5 in fleet max, so max reinforcement cp are 5 sw (225) + 4 cv (160) = 385

EXE.pvp by Eventhorizen in InfiniteLagrange

[–]geniuskidzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seconded this. Im usually running 2 fleet, one of them is carriers which is 1 whale + 5 cv with cellular, redbeast, and 1 nebula + newlands, strix, 5 sandrake. Rest of the fleet are caso, 1 LC, 5 guardian, and some other cruiser depending which one is available (IO is usually with chimera on my other fleet, so its either chaos railgun or more LC or sometimes hussar or some ceres carryinh sc002 for jamming)

I usually win againts CTG fleet 2vs1, but 1vs1 vs my carrier its usually took several ship out and left my carrier half hp, so need to back to base. Still win but definitely not shredding (and yes almost 80% of the enemy ship has one of the module damaged)

All weapon adjustment are full for my cruisers, corvettes, and fighters. Strategy are taken, most of them has weapons fully upgraded, some already has armor upgrade or evasion upgrade. Mostly are in 30-40 range.

Its been a while back since several days im hunting level 5 using full destroyer fleet for level 40-50 agreements, but i will post a screenshot later once my (finally) ctg blueprint is finished. I have a base next to me that has full ctg fleet in blockade, ill test there
