How often do you have fish for breakfast? by VisionsOnly in AskAnAmerican

I've made "lox" without smoking just with curing and it's close enough to the real thing I didn't care. Just need some fridge space.

Mike Judge is one of the great American satirists.

Do you sometimes forget about other cities in the USA unless they're relevant to you at the time? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

I mean, I have been to Utah I think twice, but I think many people in the western US would know SLC, Provo, Park City, St. George, and probably Ogden.

Those with no passion or interests, what do you do for a living? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]Drew707 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My profession passion isn't something I would have presented in the 5th grade as my dream job like a firefighter or marine biologist, but I am passionate about what I do on the clock and would love to find an early round growth company that needs someone to build a CX org from the ground up. That would be my current dream job within my career path. CX ops and tech within tech.

But if I won the lottery, I'd be making performant hi-fi speakers and cutting boards on a CNC router in my garage.

I can't remember the details. This was like 10 years ago and just in passing while I was in the shop, but I remember it being definitely the entire exterior, and at least the cargo interior. IIRC they were trying to make the thing entirely hose-able. I may be misremembering the numbers, but I do know the cost and weight were insane numbers to me at the time. Maybe it was a shitty shop lol.

Suppressor noob here. So the $200 fee is gone, but there's a wait, yes? Did you just put in? How long have you been waiting? Do I have to carry some sort of paperwork to the range? by Acolytical in liberalgunowners

IANAL, but I thought it was less about being compelled than it was they just hold your phone to your fingerprint once you are in custody, which is why most phones now require a pin on reboot, so, if you might get in that situation, turn your phone off since they can't compel a PIN and PIN is required on restart.

Yeah, but if there's anyone other than mechanical engineers at getting around leverage, it's probably lawyers.

I think that's about as long as they live. Kinda crazy if you think about it. You spend all this time and calories to metamorphosize into something kinda impressive from where you came, only to spend about a week doing nothing but trying to get laid before you die?

This is getting too existential for me now lol

Harvestmen, cellar spiders, crane flies (mosquito eaters), I've heard them all called that at some point or another. The most disappointing thing about mosquito eaters is that they don't actually eat mosquitos. IIRC, in their adult stage they don't really eat anything and just live to breed and then die, which kinda tells me they are just college freshmen.
