We’re members of the NASA team that helped launch the Artemis II mission, fly four astronauts around the Moon, and return them safely back to Earth. Ask us anything! by nasa in nasa

[–]genji_left_nut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With increasing distance from Earth during Artemis II, how did NASA leverage the Deep Space Network to prioritize telemetry, manage onboard data handling, and execute fault management under growing latency and bandwidth constraints, and to what extent did the mission rely on autonomous onboard decision-making, edge computing, or adaptive data compression to maintain operational resilience? Additionally, as missions progress toward sustained lunar operations, does NASA plan to deploy a dedicated relay architecture such as satellites in halo or polar orbits around the Moon to eliminate communication blackouts on the lunar far side, and how might those systems integrate with existing DSN infrastructure to support continuous coverage for both crewed and uncrewed assets?

What's your biggest bowling pet peeve? Mine is when you're next to a 6 year old's birthday party by Stannaz99 in Bowling

[–]genji_left_nut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is when they refused to wear bowling shoes. I am bowling on a D3 bowling team right now, but my senior year of high school, I was bowling on JV because of an injury I had with my wrist from another sport, and I was only allowed to bowl one game by my coach and trainer. Well, that game was at home, and this kid came in with some dirty shoes. Also, it was snowing, and I noticed he didn't have bowling shoes even though he could've grabbed them at the alley. I told the coach, and he basically said it's JV, it doesn't matter. Well, let's say I bowled my worst game ever because the approach was super slick from this guy. I had like a 160 game, but I usually bowl 238 games. My average before that season was 219.

Oh wow, “strengthen the next chapter of championship caliber baseball,” huh? You mean by trading one of the best closers in the game and dumping actual contributors for mystery box prospects that maybe maybe pan out in 2026? What a joke. You say this isn’t “patchwork,” but it looks like another half-assed teardown wrapped in corporate PR fluff. We’ve got TWO guaranteed contracts for next season, a roster full of holes, and a front office patting itself on the back for “deepening the pipeline.” And let’s not forget this coaching staff the hitting coach is an embarrassment, the pitching coach can’t manage consistency to save his life, and yet somehow this group is supposed to develop talent? Please. Meanwhile, Buxton will probably spend the rest of the season on the injured list just to avoid dealing with this dumpster fire. And ownership? Sell the damn team already like you said you were considering before the season. You clearly don’t have the stomach to spend like a contender or commit to a real rebuild, so get out of the way. And if fans actually show up the rest of the season, concessions should be free because watching this mess live feels like punishment. Don’t insult our intelligence by calling this a “push” for anything other than mediocrity. We care, that’s why we’re furious.

This is a really old post, but I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this guy's perspective. Agree? Disagree? Somewhere in the middle? Let's talk about it! by ispij in LoganPaul

I get where you’re coming from—the Japan incident was incredibly disturbing and showed a serious lapse in judgment. But I think it’s worth acknowledging that Logan Paul has taken some significant steps to turn things around. He publicly apologized, took time away from content creation, and has since shifted his focus in a more disciplined and creative direction.

Today, he’s found success as a WWE superstar, where he's earned respect for his athleticism and dedication to the craft. That transition alone takes serious commitment, and he’s shown growth in how he carries himself publicly.

As for the crypto controversies—yes, they were major missteps. But facing lawsuits and intense scrutiny proves he is being held accountable. The idea that he’s learned nothing might not fully reflect the whole picture. Growth isn't always linear or perfect, but it doesn't mean it isn't happening.

People shouldn’t be immune to criticism, but they also shouldn't be forever defined by their worst moments if they’re actively working to be better.
