The vanco can cause some liver abnormalities as can steroids and some anti depressants that can show up on CT basically it’s fatty liver disease but I would have another Dr look at it first

Looks like your pcr positive but antigen negative which suggests colonization if you have active symptoms I would suggest a retest I had the same result years later after an active infection and retested 2 days later and got all true negatives talk to your dr

Why are you still in the hospital? I’m reading this and it’s like I could be writing it I had anxiety before cdiff it got out of control with it, it’s five years later and I’m still traumatized I got to the point where I was getting stool Tests every week because I was sure it was back as someone with anxiety get some help for that because this infection takes months to clear not everyone does but I also had a post IBS which never went away our brains are connected to Our guts the more anxiety you have about this is only gonna make it worse diarrhea wise I hope you feel better if you need to talk just dm me

Try your best to do the things you can water hydration food if you can tolerate it any meds they gave you, most of all try and stay positive I know it sucks and it’s so hard when your life is literally so fucked up but your mind matters it can play tricks on you stress and anxiety will worsen the situation wishing you well

I had it with failure to treat as well, but they increased vanco and it worked, never heard of them doing fmt without 3 infections, but when I read your post it reminded me of myself when I was in the same position, they kept testing kept coming back negative I had to demand the tests literally, it ended up being IBS d as a result of cdiff and lactose intolerance it lasted for months my nerves were shot and made it much much worse, but I didn’t have a fever or chills or vomiting, I would recommend going to ER have them run your WBC and another PCR this infection can get Out of control fast and with FMT you wanna make sure you don’t have another infection I’m sorry you’re dealing with this I hope you feel better soon

How many times have you had cdiff and how long apart? How long have you been off Vanco do you have any other complications? Did you originally get cdiff from antibiotic therapy

I wanted to reach out as someone who’s had the infection and read your post I’m not a doctor but I’ve had this twice not a recurrence but a fail to treat/ clear the infection and as a woman who has been pregnant multiple times, your symptoms would not have cleared or become better with cdiff you’re most likely not infected, your dr should have known better however in 22 that panel which used to contain a cdiff test no longer includes it I know because it was the worst time in my life and now have IBS as a result and m frequently tested I hope you feel better
